LOOK: Kentucky football’s complete fall schedule is out NOW

This afternoon, Auburn was announced as Kentucky’s first opponent of the season, with the Wildcats headed down to face the Tigers at Jordan-Hare Stadium on September 26.

Now, the rest of Kentucky football’s schedule has been released.

After the week-one matchup against Auburn, Kentucky will host Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels in week two on Oct. 3.

In week three, Mississippi State will head to Lexington to take on the Cats at Kroger Field on Oct. 10.

A week later, Kentucky will hit the road and take on the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville on Oct. 17.

UK’s week five matchup? Georgia, as Kentucky will host the Bulldogs on Oct. 24, just a week after UGA takes on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

From there, Kentucky will head to Columbia, Missouri to take on the Tigers on Halloween (Oct. 31) in week six.

The following weekend, UK will have its bye, with six other SEC programs taking the week off on Nov. 7.

The Cats will then return to action on Nov. 14, hosting Vanderbilt at Kroger Field in week eight.

In week nine, Kentucky will head to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama on Nov. 21.

From there, UK will head to Gainesville on Thanksgiving to take on the Florida Gators, the first time UK will play UF later than September since 2008. In fact, the Wildcats have not taken on the Gators in November since 1991.

And then to close out the season, Kentucky will host South Carolina on Dec. 5.

Take a look at Kentucky’s complete schedule below:

  • Sept 26: at Auburn
  • Oct 3: Ole Miss
  • Oct. 10: Mississippi State
  • Oct. 17: at Tennessee
  • Oct. 24: Georgia
  • Oct. 31: at Missouri

I like it. Looks optimistic for a good year, if we actually play.

A great opportunity to show the world. If it is possible to keep players away from the other students that so far like to gather up. The road is narrow as someone said lately.

5-5 with an outside shot at 6-4. It will be tough to do much better than that.

It is the best conf in football and will be tough. That said we got a good schedule. Tough to be at Bama and at UF back to back but we do catch Bama after they play LSU and week before they play Auburn. Plus I would much rather play in Florida in November than I would September weather wise. I like it and just hope TW can return 100% physically and mentally and I think we will be in all these games and win several. No idea what the record may be, could go from 4-6 to 9-1 but 7-3 and up is a great season. MUST take care of the games we should win that have bit us in the past. Losing to MSU, USC and UT the last couple years can’t happen this year. Need to be 6-0 vs UT, Mizzou, Vandy, Ole Miss, MSU and USC especially with 4 of these at home.

The schedule breaks very well for us. The extra teams were tough, but our games with the Big Boys are trap games. Sankey set us up good to make up for the extra games tho.

I guess….if you call back to back games in Tuscaloosa and Gainesville as being set up good…

I’m calling 4-6, with a punchers chance at .500. Tough league boys. We’d be 7-3 to 8-2 in any other league.

We’ll have a couple inexplicable losses, as always, UT will be one, as well as one other.

SEC is so good. As good as this team is, 5-5 would be amazing. If we were in ACC, I think they could beat everyone except Clemson.

Guys, I’ve looked at the schedule, and I only see 1 team that we will be a double digit favorite (Vandy). We are going to be double digit underdogs to Au, Ga,Fl, Al. The rest are toss-ups. We MUST stay healthy or this could be a long year. No MAC teams on this schedule!!

Assuming Wilson stays healthy – which he has too now that Gatewood is out –

I think the Ole Miss and Miss St games will tell the tale. If Kentucky can lose respectable at Auburn – then bounce back and control Ole Miss and Miss St – I think the season bodes well. That would mean they’re gonna’ control Vandy, Missouri, and South Carolina. Write off Alabama and Georgia. Get a split from Tennessee and Florida, and there’s six.

If they start off with a win over Auburn – then all bets are off. If they lose to Ole Miss or Miss St – same deal. If Wilson goes down – hoo boy.

Gatewood isn’t out just yet, unless I’m missing something.
