Logan Stenberg Named Preseason All-American

Logan Stenberg is in good company.

The UK senior has earned a spot on Sporting News’ preseason All-American team. Stenberg is a second team selection at offensive guard for one of the five publications that is used to determine consensus All-American status.

The nasty Madison, Alabama native packs quite a powerful punch in the middle of the Big Blue Wall. Entering his third season as a starter, Stenberg has not missed a start since he took over the position in 2017.

Last year he graded out at 85.5%, registered 78 knockdown blocks and 154 blocks at the point of attack. Stenberg did not miss a single assignment all season and allowed just one sack.

The Cats may have lost one All-American from the offensive line, Bunchy Stallings, but they should not miss a beat in 2019.

What’s crazy is that we just lost multiple All American linemen in the last few years, and most cats fans think of him as our third best lineman behind Landon and Drake

Our oline is going to bust some heads. A second team AA guard, Drake who is considered by many as the best center in the SEC and Landon was a monster as a “freshman” who’s bulked up since then.
