Lloyd Tubman may end up a Louisville Cardinal

Dismissed Kentucky defensive lineman Lloyd Tubman will soon know his next destination for his college football career, and he is down to Utah State and Louisville, according to the Cats Pause. He plans to pick between the two very soon.

Tubman enrolled at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas last summer after he was not indicted on rape charges at UK. Though nothing came of those awful accusations against him, Tubman was not allowed to re-enroll in Lexington, for reasons beyond me.

It is a shame this young man wasn’t given another shot at Kentucky once the charges were dropped. His name was dragged through the mud, and his life, not just his football career, was in serious jeopardy.

We hope everything works out for him in the end, wherever that may be. Even if it’s Louisville. Ugh.

I remember Card trolls coming on here and using him as an example of one of the “criminals” UK football has had on the team. I guess they’ll just consider him another changed man thanks to Louisville.

Well we have been having really good luck with the transfer players that ksr posters like to call “thugs”.

Truth is only one transfer on our team was actually ever in trouble with the law. That is Devante Fields, for smacking his girlfriend. Obviously unacceptable behavior, but he repented and has been a model student/athlete at U of L. He is back for another season of smacking Drew Barker (and other opposing QBs) after passing up a chance to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round in order to play his way into the first round next season’s NFL draft.

Most of the rest of the players transferred simply because they were unhappy where they were. JHC did because he was smoking weed and flunked a couple of drug tests at UGA.

What a bunch of “thugs”. lol

      Michael Dyer.

Michael Dyer was never charged with a crime.

bbn makes up all kinds of BS and spreads it and everybody believes it.

Google it. He was never charged with a crime. He didn’t even really do anything wrong period.

      1:49 pm May 5, 2016 Permalink

And…Michael Dyer is not on our roster now anyway. I was talking current players. But no…he has never been charged with a crime in his entire life.

I didn’t say he was charged with a crime. He did get kicked off Auburn’s team though. Then at U of L, he quit going to class and was ineligible for your bowl game. So, you took a player from elsewhere that was a problem, and he continued to be a problem. You didn’t specified “current players” until after the fact.

Also, the cheerleader who overdosed and died, did so in Quick’s apartment. His roommate wasn’t as good a player, so U of L tossed him and let him take the fall for that, but let’s not pretend like Quick is a saint and has only smoked a little weed.

Wrong again Einstein. It was Cameron Polk’s room. And he was a drug dealer, but that was not known until after he got here. He was kicked off of the team as soon as they found out.

      http://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2014/11/12/u-l-cheerleader-dani-cogswell-died-football-players-room/18908565/

Also after she died her family came out and said she had battled drug problems before. Something else U of L was unaware of until after her death. They drug test cheerleaders now. They didn’t before. A mistake for sure.

I realize that with such a putrid football program, all you all can do to try to make yourselves feel better is by making up BS about your very successful hated rival. Its pretty funny actually. Its why I come to ksr. To laugh at the stupid s*** you clowns say.

Bottom line is ALL big time football programs have problem players. U of L included. The facts are that uk has more problems at the present time than U of L does. Way more.

But you just keep deluding yourself, and I will keep laughing and enjoying the wins and bowl games.

      Oh…I forgot.

I thought is was obvious that I was talking about the current roster. Maybe not.

But I will throw you a bone.

Nate Harris also came here with a criminal record, but turned his life around as well. I can’t remember any others who transferred here with a criminal background beside him and Fields.

Willie Williams was a bad risk, and he got popped for weed while here and kicked off the team.

Quick was Polk’s roommate at the time, but that was conveniently hushed up.

I don’t know if this is true or not. Got proof? But so what if it is? She was there to see Polk. It was Polk who called 911. She was found in Polk’s bed. Polk was later caught dealing the same drugs found in her system. This is all a matter of police, 911, and EMS records.

What does this have to do with Quick?

      Roommates are assigned.

So because Quick smokes weed he is guilty of what his assigned roommate did?

This is the stuff I am talking about. You losers have no team, so you have to make up stories about U of L to tell each other so you feel better.

      Its funny as hell.

Scorpio, what exactly constitutes a “model UL athlete”? Based on current trends, it doesn’t seem like that would have very strict requirements

The charges being dropped doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. I trust our coaching staff and administration to make the right decisions FOR THE UNIVERSITY. If they decided he didn’t need to be here that’s enough for me. He’ll fit right in at Loserville.

    • A_Blue_Wildcat

If the charges were dropped then it’s likely that he didn’t do it and it was a false rape accusation. Given the amount of false rape accusations that are plaguing universities in this country, and seeing how universities generally just expel students the second they see the accusation, it’s likely that the coaching staff kicked him off just to avoid any bad publicity. Of course there’s a chance that he did do it, but this situation just seems like another uva/duke lacrosse case.

Blue – I have a huge issue with your statement “If the charges were dropped then it’s likely that he didn’t do it and it was a false rape accusation.” Perhaps the victim chose not to go through with the investigation or trial. Perhaps the prosecutor did not have enough evidence to think they could get a conviction. There are many possibilities for why the charges were dropped so don’t be so quick to assume that it was a false accusation.

Also, when you get the chance, please post the data you have to support your claim that there is a high amount of false rape accusations plaguing universities in this country.

GTFO. U of L is having NO problems with players getting in trouble (well Quick did get a ticket for possession of weed big deal). uk is having all kinds of players getting in trouble.

You’re the loser who needs to get a grip on reality.

Loserville is a septic tank. the entire bunch from the president down lack any trace of ethics or morality. But as a KY fan I will say you losers are the gift that just keeps giving, what a moronic bunch you are, especially cats paws and Scorpo curd. Loserville is a genital wart on the tapestry of college athletics. Loserville is just not little brother, they are the mentally slow relative, that you can’t leave your kids alone with.

scorpiocard, You do know that Louisville is the scum of all schools, it’s the laughing stock of all schools. As long as you have the two coaches you have in football and basketball it’s going to be that way. Your school has always taken players kicked of other schools for rules, rape, sex scandals and give them second chances which is ok because no one in their right mind would want to go to school there unless they really had to. It’s so bad people like you have to come to Ky site to post, get it . No you probably don’t.

What I know is morons like you who hate U of L so much that you and your buddies make up a bunch of stupid stuff should get a life.

“Your school has always taken players kicked of other schools for rules, rape, sex scandals and give them second chances which is ok because no one in their right mind would want to go to school there unless they really had to”.

You want to back this up with some facts? I’m not talking about all the delusional BS cayut fans make up among themselves and spread as truth and facts. I am talking about linking actual documentation that U of L has players like this on their team. I already acknowledged that Fields smacked his gf, and JHC was smoking dope. Rape? Really? Who on our team raped somebody?

You can’t back up your claims. Because its a bunch of hater BS.

Yeah we have two high profile coaches who got caught cheating on their wives. Not a good look, but its hilarious how much your over blow how much the rest of the world cares that much about it.

Like I said, I come here to laugh at all the stupid things you clowns say, and many of you actually believe!

In this specific case, I don’t blame UofL for taking him as Tubman did nothing wrong. He’s a good kid who was falsely accused by a girl who has a history of false accusations, and he very much wanted to be a Cat even through all of this. Very disappointing and embarrassing that Barnhart, Capilouto, and other administration did not do more to help this kid remain at UK. Let’s be honest – this would not have happened if he was a stud basketball player.

After watching on ESPN the 30 for 30 Duke lacrosse accusations, makes you wonder why Tubman didn’t try to sue UK once all charges were dropped? My guess is that there is more to the story. Would like to see an Open Records request submitted to see if UK eventually paid Tubman a settlement.
