It slipped under the radar because it happened on a Friday afternoon, but Kash Daniel made an appearance on ‘The Paul Finebaum Show,’ with special guest host Tom Hart.
After running through the requisite Kash topics of trash talk and fishing, Hart asked the Kentucky linebacker who he believes will have a breakout season ala Josh Allen or Benny Snell. Interestingly, Kash, one of the leaders on defense, listed all offensive players, namely Lynn Bowden, Terry Wilson, and AJ Rose.
“Lynn Bowden is going to be a breakout player for us. He’s our returning leading receiver and a leader on our offense. Look out for Terry. Terry had his breakout party last year letting the country know who he is. He’s developed his game tremendously in the offseason, working on on every little thing that he can, and throughout camp, he’s shown nothing but tremendous strides in taking leadership of the offense and putting guys in position to get in the end zone. Look at Terry, look at Lynn.
“You’ve got AJ in the backfield that’s taking over for Benny [Snell] and stepping up in his shoes. A.J. has had a tremendous camp. He’s fast. He’s versatile. He can run a pass route, he can run up the middle. He’s a very good pass protector as well. Then you’ve got guys like Kavosiey Smoke, Chris Rodriguez — I mean, I could go on and on for days and days — our tight ends, Justin Rigg, and guys like that. There’s a lot of guys that have potential to break out, and I’m really excited to see how they do these coming Saturdays.”
In typical Tom Hart fashion, our favorite ESPN announcer even drops a few KSR references. See if you can catch them in the podcast below. Kash comes on around the 11-minute mark.
