This afternoon, four-star wide receiver and Frederick Douglass standout Dekel Crowdus announced his finalists, with Kentucky joining Baylor, Louisville, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and South Carolina making the cut. This was the in-state prospect's announcement: https://twitter.com/CrowdusDekel/status/1235687427131338752?s=20 Crowdus, listed at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, is considered the No. 210 prospect overall and No. 1 in the state of Kentucky in the ESPN recruiting rankings. The four-star wide receiver is also the No. 245 overall recruit and No. 43 at his position in the 2021 247Sports Composite Rankings. A potential added bonus to this news? Jager Burton, a fellow four-star in-state standout and Frederick Douglass teammate, wrote on his Twitter page on Wednesday evening that he was a "package deal" with Crowdus at the next level. https://twitter.com/jager_burton/status/1235393045022928897?s=20 Burton is considered a consensus top-200 prospect in the nation and, like Crowdus, one of the top recruits in the state. For obvious reasons, both four-star recruits are major (and arguably top) priorities for the Kentucky football program in the class of 2021. While his junior highlight tape isn't readily available in its entirety, you can check out Crowdus' sophomore tape below: Come on down.
