Mark Stoops will hit the podium in roughly 30 minutes, where he’ll discuss all things Central Michigan.
Until then, we have a few updates for you:
The University of Kentucky confirmed today it was Landon Young’s left knee, not right, that was injured in practice on Friday. Many initial reports said it was the right, and they wanted to clear the air on that. He is still expected to miss the entire season.
There will be no depth chart until the presser goes live, meaning there’s a very solid chance we hear a starting quarterback named this afternoon. As we told you over the last week, Terry Wilson is the favorite to win the job.
Though Stoops is expected to finalize the quarterback decision today, Central Michigan’s head coach said today he believes Kentucky will still play both Wilson and Gunnar Hoak on Saturday. We will ask Stoops whether he expects to play both, though he told KSR last week that he doesn’t want to hurt the momentum if things are going well for whoever is under center.
Stoops will likely discuss Josh Paschal and any updates regarding his status. He is almost certainly not going to play on Saturday, though we’ll get some clarification on that.
We’ll be back in a few with what should be a pretty huge press conference.
