Lamar Thomas retires from Twitter, a Big Blue Nation weeps (UPDATE: He’s back!)
Mere hours after Mark Stoops said he was totally cool with Lamar Thomas doing what Lamar Thomas does on Twitter, Lamar Thomas tweeted quite possibly the saddest news of all: he’s taking a Twitter break.
After much consideration I've decided to officially retire from Twitter before camp starts. Thank you.✌ðŸ¿

Here are Stoops’ comments when asked about Lamar Thomas’ Twitter antics a few hours ago:
“Really? What’s he said?,” Stoops laughed. “Unless something needs to get to my desk, I don’t know. I’ve said it before, I like the way Lamar coaches, I like the way he goes about his business. If it was just the flair, I wouldn’t be very into it. You’ve got to have some substance behind what you do and your coaching and your teaching and that’s what’s most important to me.”
Camp starts next Thursday, but it’s going to be a long week without Thomas putting Louisville trolls in their place.

UPDATE: After only 30 minutes, Lamar is back.

Watch for the rest of the WR corps to join in, maybe not as publicly, but Thomas is leading by example

Do you think Stoops wishes Lamar would be quiet until he beats UofL? I bet he does. Probably feels a bit of nausea when he thinks about being unable to back up all Lamar’s talk on the field.
To be honest I would prefer him STFU. Seems like he enjoys snapping pictures with former Louisville or Miami players more than what he was paid to do, coach and recruit. Has Thomas brought in a single commit yet?
Or perhaps pictures are simply more likely to be available to someone like you, since you are not privy to his recruiting visits or his coaching.
Welcome back, Coach. We missed ya.
Let’s worry less about Twitter and more about coaching.
Buster, please refrain from criticizing UK in any fashion. The correct thing to do is to say it’s UofL fans’ fault that Lamar is talking trash prior to winning a single game at UK.
