The most wonderful time of the year is upon us, but unfortunately it’s without Kentucky football. Just because the Cats aren’t Bowling, doesn’t mean they didn’t dramatically improve during Mark Stoops’ second season. Here’s the best of the best.
Braylon Heard Starts the Season Off With a Bang
It didn’t take long for Braylon to be Heard in Kentucky Blue. The Youngstown, Oh. native and Nebraska transfer’s first carry in Commonwealth Stadium was a 73-yard score right through the heart of the UT-Martin defense.
The next time he touched the ball? ANOTHER touchdown.
Unfortunately, Heard injured himself on the final hurdle toward the end zone, finishing his first day on the job with 113 yards and 2 touchdowns on only 2 carries. Heard made some noise at his first day on the job, but the injury kept him from sustaining consistent momentum as a runner in-between the tackles (his specialty if you couldn’t tell).
