Kirk Herbstreit loves the OVER on UK’s season win total

Most sports books set Kentucky’s season win total at 6.5 games for the upcoming football season. College football analyst Kirk Herbstreit, who knows a little bit about the sport, loves the line at 6.5 wins because he sees easy money to be made.

During an appearance on ESPN on Tuesday, Herbstreit said his favorite bet among college football win totals is the Kentucky OVER. For those who don’t know what that means, Herbstreit is predicting Kentucky will win at least seven games this fall. For it to be his favorite bet out of all the options that are out there, he is really confident in Kentucky winning at least seven games.

It’s not the first time Herbstreit has been high on the Cats. Back in 2017, he said Kentucky was his sleeper team in the SEC (missed it by a year).

Let’s hope he’s right in his forecast of this year’s team.

AJ is probably hungry to show his skills. Bowden is probably hungry to show he is tops in SEC. TDT is probably hungry to show he can lead without Benny. The defense is probably hungry to show they can compare as a unit to last year’s defense even absent JA and Company. The Coaches are probably hungry to shut up some negative analysts. I think that does equate to a minimum of seven wins with a pre-bowl total of 8-9 as a possibility. .

I’m definitely biased, but agree it’s a good bet to make. Vandy and Arkansas are supposed to be terrible again this year. Toledo, Eastern Michigan, TN Martin and Louisville all should be wins…that’d be six assuming no huge surprise. So then to cover we need a single win from Florida, Miss St, Georgia, Missouri, Tennessee, or South Carolina…4 of which we won last year. I’m thinking the number is 8. And man I hope we play some football against effing Tennessee. That’s the one I want the most. Go Cats!

Avoid any UT debacles to a ‘definite win’ games and pull one upset on paper. Feasible…

    Still not #FreeMoney though.
