Kentucky running back Benny Snell releases music video — UPDATE: Video has been taken down

Kentucky’s rising sophomore star running back Benny “Tha Bandit” Snell is continuing his rapping career with his first music video for his single “D To The A (Remix),” which features some shoutouts to the BBN, his team, and some very NSFW language, so keep that in mind before you hit play on the video below.

“I like that, take the snap from the Wildcat, forgot to mention I’m a UK player, running back.”

“Bowl game last year, now we’re on the map…I could never lose, BBN is too legit.”

“Coach Stoops says I’m up next, I’m gotta flex. Be the best with no stress then I’ll get the rest.”

Thoughts?

UPDATE (5:22 p.m.): Well, that didn’t take long. Looks like someone (probably at UK) made Benny take the video down.

Honestly, probably a smart move.

If he runs for lots of yards and scores touchdowns, he can rap all he wants. If the focus on the field suffers, then someone needs to take away his MacBook.

    Go Cats, Go Benny!

From the biggest Snellyeah fan out here. Stick to scoring TD’s my man. You carry the pile much better than you drop bars.

Let’s be honest, he’s a horrendous rapper. He also represents this University. I curse like a sailor, but have enough common sense to know you don’t say certain things for all the world to hear when you represent a team, a school, an employer etc.

Excellent comment jzoneblue. Benny should have known better than to post a rap video with questionable language and licensed game video. I would also be very surprised if Coach Stoops has not already made it clear to EVERY player that their action and their reputation as well as those of the University of Kentucky are put on display to EVERYONE, not just a handful of personal friends. Stay classy CATS.

If he plans to sell the videos, would that be a violation of NCAA rules?
Oblivious, if he gets fame as an athlete, sales will be greater…..at least in BBN.
Or has that rule been rescinded?
