Kentucky rolls over Charlotte 58-10

Now there’s the feel good win we’ve been looking for all season. Behind six rushing touchdowns, Kentucky beat Charlotte 58-10 in front of a very loyal crowd at Commonwealth Stadium.
It may have been Drew Barker’s debut as starting quarterback, but the ground game reigned supreme. The Cats had 415 rushing yards with three different UK running backs bringing in touchdowns: JoJo Kemp (11 carries, 165 yards, 3 TDs), Boom Williams (16 carries, 140 yards, 2 TDs), and Sihiem King (5 carries for 91 yards and 1 TD).
Meanwhile, Drew Barker was 16-29 for 129 yards and played the entire game. UK’s defense held Charlotte to 233 yards and only 10 points, forcing 3 turnovers, including this ridiculous grab by CJ Johnson:

More coming throughout the night. The Cats are 5-6, which means it all comes down to the Louisville game…

Quick! Give the coaches a contract extension!
We can only hope that some day the Cats will win a game like this in the SEC. Charlotte was a deplorable opponent and the worst team in college FBS. Take this win as you may see it but UL will not be overmatched by this team as the Cats will need their best game of the year next week.
