I’m not totally happy with that, but we have a lot less way to climb to reach top 20 than we normally do.

BS how can we be picked to win the East and a favorite to win the SEC and be ranked 28th? And some polls we are top 10 hmm ! Guess this is just more bulletin board material for Stoops to make his point !

Im not too upset with the preseason poll. Although, one thing that does bother me… Is how in the hell is V-Tech ranked at 24th??!? Yes they had a solid season last year but then lost their bowl game to Kentucky. Not saying that we should be where V-Tech is, but someone else definitely should be. Id be ok with everyone except the vols and dirtybirds moving up a spot, and V-Tech sliding in right behind us at 30th…..

Also looking at the rankings, at this time we play 3 ranked teams in UGA, Auburn, and Florida, but my guess is, with where their ranked preseason, unless the floor falls from under them, the vols will move into the rankings eventually, so that would make 4 ranked opponents we would end up facing. Also as much as I hate to say this, the dirtybirds will probably move into the rankings as well since they play an Extremely Soft high school schedule. So if we still had them on the schedule, that would put us at 5 ranked opponents this upcoming season. On top of that, I think we move into the rankings after the first 3-4 games, then beating atleast 3 of the 4 ranked opponents should jump us up the list. I forget exactly when the UGA game is this year, but I know its near or at the end of the schedule. I think were ranked inside of the top-15, possibly top-12 when uga comes to Lex. A spot in the SEC title game will be on the line…. Also think we can win it!!

Man I cant wait for the season to start, as weird as this may sound, I’ve always been a Football-1st UK fan… Dont get me wrong, I love Cal and Bball…. But nothing gets my blood pumping like the fireworks going off on the Gridiron asthe Cats and Stoops take the field, American and UK Flag flying high..lol. Also cant wait to see the official schedules, lol, I mean MY GOODNESS, there’s no way it should take this long. Your adding 2 more conference opponents to each teams schedule. Just take every teams last 2 rotating cross-divisional games and flip them. Problem solved in the fairest way possible, because its a foregone conclusion that someone will get screwed over, and it most likely wont be tennessee, south carolina, or any other media darling thats drooled over. But I digress, So for UK – For Example – Our last 2 rotating cross-divisional foes were A&M and Arkansas. We went to A&M and Arkansas came to Lex. Just Flip the location of each game. We travel to Arkansas, and A&M comes to Lex. Simple and completely fair, dont think theres a more fair way to get it done. But it would make sense, and keep all future schedules intact. So, while that makes the most sense and will without a doubt, by FAR be the fairest and simplest way to fix the schedules, because its so obvious and also easily the fairest way to set up each teams schedule, I think theres no way in hell the powers that be in the SEC will go for it. Instead they will make it as complicated as they can, and we will see the new schedules maybe 3 days before the season begins, if that.
