Kentucky ranked No. 23 in latest AP Poll

Well, it’s officially poll season now. This week’s AP poll has just been released, and your Kentucky Wildcats came in at No. 23. That’s slightly lower than the also recently-released Coaches poll, which lists the Cats at No. 20.

Like the Coaches poll, this week’s AP poll only includes teams that have opted to play this fall. That means no Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, or any other team from the Big Ten or Pac-12 conferences.

The differences between Sunday’s polls indicate mostly small changes in the top-half of the rankings, such as swapping Florida and LSU, Auburn and Texas, Oklahoma State and North Carolina, and Cincinnati and Central Florida. The back-half of the list sees a little more variation, and the AP poll includes Pittsburgh rather than the Coaches poll’s pick, Baylor.

Here’s a look at the 25 teams that made the cut:

College football is back.

But, look at the bright side of things. You would not be spending so much time on sarcastic blog posts that you MAY have time to seek and secure gainful employment!

Answer me this. UofL last two recruiting classes were ranked 69 and 42. Uk’s were ranked 34 and 25. Louisville sucked last year. Uk returns a stable of running backs and receivers not to mention one of the best lines in college football. But yet Uk is ranked 23 among teams that are playing and louisville 18. What is wrong with this?

Nothing else needs to be said. You laid out the evidence nicely. It does not matter what we think. What does the evidence say?

They’re overrated. The last two years were aberrations, not the norm.
