Kentucky projected to play Ohio State in Peach Bowl

Reality is starting to set in, Big Blue Nation. The special season we all dreamed of before the year started is finally coming to fruition.

After starting the year 7-1 on the year and 5-1 in the SEC, with a solid shot at entering the top-ten when polls are released today, the latest bowl predictions will certainly make your jaw drop.

Sports Illustrated projects Kentucky will take on Ohio State in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl in Atlanta on December 29.

Yes, you read that correctly. Kentucky vs. Ohio State in the Peach Bowl, a New Year’s Six Bowl.

See if for yourself below, where the Cats are sitting right next to some of the best teams in college football:

Oddly enough, Kentucky could find themselves in an even better bowl if they find a way to defeat Georgia and Tennessee the next two weeks. With those two victories, the Cats would take on Alabama in the SEC Championship before likely representing the SEC in the Sugar Bowl.

Or they could win out and defeat Alabama in the SEC title game to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff. If we’re dreaming big, we might as well dream big, right?

Keep your travel plans open over the holidays, folks.

Our guys are essentially 1 incorrect offensive play call away from being undefeated. Anything is possible.

Probably referring to OT A&M game but if we can’t get a yard, three separate times vs. Missouri…moot point.

Well, that play was for a first down. Not the game. No comparison to Missouri game.
      Anyways…..Beat Georgia!!!!!

Dreaming big is great as long as this team takes it 1 game at a time. Let’s start with dreaming big vs GA…

Wilder idea… LSU beats Bama in a huge upset, Kentucky beats Georgia in a slightly less huge upset… SEC title game is Kentucky/LSU and nowhere near as bad a matchup for Big Blue. Not a totally implausible path to get Kentucky into the playoffs… What a wonderfully weird year.

I would really like to play UCF, I think that we could A) reasonably win,B) get all kinds of hype for playing against/beating a 27 game win streak

Uga is completely winnable , they match up terrible with us . Their qb has up and down games just like we do .

If we did play and beat Ohio State Urban Meyer might resign after all his issues this year.

Some say this will be his last season at Ohio St as it is. He’s already making health issue excuses just like he did at Florida with the heat got to hot and Tebow was gone.

Sure would hate to see us lose Stoops to OSU if Meyers left. I think that would be the only job he would leave Lexington for.

I hope he can be swayed to stay here vs going to Florida state after they can taggert

That would be a blessing in disguise, IMO, if someone were to take Stoops off of our hands.
