Kentucky opens as favorite against Missouri

@UKFootball

@UKFootball

@UKFootball

Missouri has had Kentucky’s number since joining the conference three years ago. The Tigers are 3-0 against the Cats with double-digit wins in all three contests.

This week, Mizzou will travel to Lexington with eyes on a fourth win in the series, but it will do so as the underdog. The opening line went live today in Las Vegas and Kentucky is a 2.5 point favorite over the visiting Tigers.

What do we think about that, BBN?

    I just don’t know about this one…Mizzou always finds a way to win and we always find a way to lose.

      “and we always find a way to lose.”

      People have to stop thinking this way. We’re 2-1 and setup for a good season still. I wish people would start thinking positively for once.

    How anyone could favor the Cats is beyond comprehension.UK has a way of making other teams look great,especially those playing 1st year or backup quarterbacks,and with Mauk guiding Missouri look for an All American performance.

    I think a 2.5 line means it’s essentially anyone’s game. I agree with that, and I agree with us earning the favorite status based on both team’s performances up to this point. This will be a big game, with huge ramifications for the divisional hierarchy this year.

      The Divisional Hierarchy in the East this year is pretty clear:

      1) Georgia
      2-6) Anyone’s guess
      7) Vandy

    If the only reason people support a team is because the team
    wins, then those people don’t actually support the team.

    Kentucky football has some diehard fans that have been there
    on the very worst days and will continue to be. Those people
    are the True Blue Kentucky Football fans.

    If “fans” are already giving up on the team, they’re not
    fans in the first place, and who needs ’em?

    NOT I, SAID THE CAYTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO CATS! BEAT MIZZOU!!!

      We are just disappointed. KSR hyped the shit out this team. They misled us into thinking this team had taken a giant leap forward. Now we realize we’ve been sold a bag of crap. This team hasn’t advanced at all. We’re just sick and tired of Stoopd and KSR lying to us.

      Who needs em??? I can think of $120M reasons why we need them. There are not enough idiots out there with nothing better to do with 4 hours of their time on a Saturday evening that want to invest it in sub par entertainment where you leave feeling like you’ve been ripped off…again.

      Don’t worry John. We make TONS of money from those who prefer to watch from home as well. Don’t bother going to the games anymore – we don’t need you. Go watch Alabama or something – they make us a ton of money too.

      Reality, if you’re dumb enough to let a blog inflate your expectations THAT much, you don’t deserve to be around for the wins.

    Just because you criticize your team for playing poorly, does not make you a fair weather fan. KY looked terrible offensively against Florida! That is just a fact. The blame lies on coaching, quarterback, offensive line and receivers equally. I know we are a few years away from being a really great team, but it is frustrating to see players not give it their all. Our opponents have no problem giving their best. Just chalking this up to an off night. It happens, but it is ok to criticize your team at times.

      Better check offensive stats. Either Florida didn’t give it their best or we did.

    Really wish we had started the second half against ULL better and could have got Barker in for some reps and see him throw it a few times.

      I’m not sure the coaching staff WANTS us to see Barker at this point. First of all, he’s NOT going to be worse than PT. Statistically impossible. Secondly, what if he shines? Then all of BBN will want to know why it took so long to make the change? You mean, you couldn’t see in practice that Barker was that much better?

    I really cannot feel confident bout Saturday with Towles at QB. Very inaccurate and slow to make decisions on the field. Six sacks against Fld. and there were at least 3 times he could have thrown it away. His field vision is really bad. Stoops better make some adjustments or this is our second loss.

    How many coaches Promises and years will it take to actually get the air raid offense we are promised to make this game exciting again? All I see is three runs and out! Dint this new offensive coordinator promise us a wide open game?

      Remember that Super Bowl commercial with the Air Raid sirens? You know, the same one that KSR tried to tell us was nationwide. LOL. So much for that, but hey we all bought tickets, didn’t we? We are a bunch of chumps for believing the BS.

    It’s this way, I’m as die hard a UK fan as their is. been following since 1978. I get into fights with the wife cause i watch so much. And i have heard every coach come in here and promise “We are getting better. Just give us time.” No. You’ve had time, and still trot out a QB who hit’s less than 50% of his passes. And he’s a four year player!! I’m done. Call me if, and its a big IF, we go to a bowl game, or better yet, get a decent QB. Otherwise, I’ve got grandkids to play with on Saturdays. I would have liked to get them interested in UK football, but really, they’re much smarter than that.

      Towles is at 52%, actually. Get it right if you’re going to be so negative. Stoops has had under 3 years, that’s not enough time. We only have one other option at QB..what if that doesn’t work? It could definitely be worse at QB.

    -This guy has a point, leave him alone.

    About Alabama being 2-1 also, Ole Miss is a GOOD team and that loss is a lot better than the one UK just took against a VERY DOWN Florida team. I can’t blame anyone for being disappointed because the team gets hyped ever year like Reality said and every year they crap out. There’s still the stretch of Auburn through Georgia which will be the true proving ground IMO, so the chance of crap out is HIGH. The offense is terrible and the defense is OK at best. Ignore the noise in the spring and embrace the greatness in season, if and when that happens. OTAs and practices during off season don’t mean anything as proven year in, year out.

    Where I come from it’s not negative/hateful if it’s true.
