Get used to these one-possession spreads every week. When Kentucky goes on the road to take on the Missouri Tigers they will do so opening as 5-point favorites. The Over/Under is set at 49.5.

This season Kentucky is 2-2 against the spread while Missouri is 1-2, their only cover being the outright victory over LSU a week ago. Missouri is also an abysmal 2-8 ATS over their last 10 games.
The past two weeks for the Cats I’ve been looking at the O/U totals, which have been pretty profitable, but I think there’s good value on Kentucky at -5. Missouri is coming off a bye and the Cats will have to travel to Columbia, but Kentucky’s defense has only allowed a single touchdown in two games. Obviously, that type of success isn’t totally sustainable, but I still like that spread sitting under a touchdown.
With Kentucky’s grind it out offense and stellar defense, you can get talked into the under, and rightfully so. Kentucky had two-explosive quick scores with the two pick-six’s against Tennesee and the total still hit under 46. Considering that, and the fact Missouri has had 11 of their last 14 games hit the under, I think that might just be the play this week.
