Kentucky opens as 12.5-point favorites over Toledo

We may still be 53 days away from kickoff, but Vegas has already made their call for Kentucky football’s season-opener against Toledo.

Bovada released their opening lines for the first week of college football, and your beloved Wildcats are 12.5-point favorites over the Rockets.

Last season, Toledo finished No. 2 in the MAC with a final record of 7-6, including wins over Nevada, Western Michigan, Kent State, and Central Michigan, among others.

The team’s starting quarterback, Eli Peters, will be back under center for the Rockets, with former Kentucky running back Bryant Koback also returning as the team’s leading rusher.

On the outside, Toledo will be losing their three leading receivers from this past year in Diontae Johnson, Jon’Vea Johnson, and Cody Thompson.

As for the Wildcats, starting quarterback Terry Wilson is back for another year, with Lynn Bowden, AJ Rose, and Justin Rigg considered three of Kentucky’s go-to weapons this season.

Will it be enough to beat the spread to open the year?

One more thing Jack. Last year you and me were the most positive in our predictions that I seen and with that, we were also closest to being correct. I got 9 minimum, 10 as my pick with 11 or 12 regular season wins possible. Hope you are still on the same train. #AllIn

I remember saying nine wins too. I think the same thing this season. Could be more. I think people are giving MSU a lot more credit than they deserve without Mullen there. I think they slide back to perennial SEC West doormat. In fact, Athens is the only game I think we might be in trouble. Even then, it’s gonna be a fun one. SO excited for this upcoming season!

Would love to get that spread. It will be 16 to 18 by game time.

    I’d take the 12.5 all day, that’s a $1K bet right there…. good return….

All day I’ll take that plus some. Amy McGrath will only lose by 10 points, Matt would lose by 20. And while she served, I served next to idiots like her, service doesn’t mean you know your ass from a hole in the ground. She’d vote in line with the rest of the leftist, just as Matt would.
