Kentucky is swimming in the right waters when it comes to offensive line talent.
With ESPN updating their recruiting rankings this past week, the 247 Sports Composite is adding up all of their numbers into an algorithm. The composite throws in all of the recruiting rankings and comes up with the composite standings after the averages are balanced out between 247, Rivals, and ESPN. After the numbers were crunched, Metro Cleveland offensive tackle Ryan Baer is now a no doubt blue-chip recruit.
Baer took an official visit to Kentucky in June to go along with stops at Illinois, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, and Virginia. After canceling a visit to Notre Dame, all signs pointed to Kentucky becoming the favorite to land this top-15 prospect in Ohio. However, Michigan State is beginning to gain some major buzz.
Since Baer wrapped up his visits, five crystal ball predictions have come in for head coach Mel Tucker and the Spartans. On Tuesday, national recruiting analyst Allen Trieu also put in a pick for Baer to go to Michigan State. Things are not trending in the right direction for Kentucky. However, Baer went on record to state that a decision has not been made when the first Michigan State predictions started to roll in.
I am not committed anywhere. I will be committing sometime this month. Stay tuned!

Currently, Kentucky is in the progress of building an elite offensive line class. Top-100 recruit Kiyaunta Goodwin is the top-rated player in Kentucky’s class while blue-chipper Grant Bingham is also in the fold. Kentucky is in the running for top-150 offensive tackle Aamil Wagner to go along with Baer. Meanwhile, high three-stars Drew Bobo and Daughtry Richardson are also considering the Wildcats after taking official visits to Lexington in June.
The Wildcats would like for Baer to be a part of that as the blue-chipper has long been a top target of the coaching staff, but Michigan State offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic is making a major push for Baer. The 2022 prospect has been planning to make a decision at some point in July.
The waiting game will be over soon for this offensive tackle prospect. However, now there is no denying that this is one of the best offensive tackles in the class of 2022.
Recruiting never stops.
