A top-500 prospect in the 247 Sports Composite, Richardson plays for Miami Central High and has had plenty of college suitors. The 6-foot-4 offensive tackle took visits in June to Arizona State, Florida State, Kentucky, and Miami. New offensive line coach Eric Wolford is running point in Richardson’s recruitment.
Despite having a profile picture in Miami gear, the trending favorite per the Crystal Ball at 247 Sports appears to be Florida State. Mike Norvell’s program has a ton of recruiting momentum and Richardson could become the 12th top-500 commitment in this cycle. The Seminoles are trending towards a top-15 recruiting class as the rebuild continues in Tallahassee.

Meanwhile, Kentucky continues to hold steady with 11 verbal commitments. The Wildcats currently have seven top-500 prospects in the fold and are in the running for some quality offensive line talent. Even with three current commitments — Kiyaunta Goodwin, Grant Bingham, Nikolas Hall — expect the Wildcats to add up to three more players in this class at offensive line. Richardson is one of the prime candidates.
Four-star Ryan Baer and high three-star Drew Bobo are also players Kentucky is on the hunt for. Meanwhile, top-125 prospect Aamil Wagner remains a possibility. Kentucky needs to add bodies to the Big Blue Wall, and there are plenty of quality candidates out there.
One of the class of 2022 recruiting dominos will fall on Sunday afternoon.
