Kentucky offensive line listed as most valuable among Power 5 teams in 2019

Surprise, surprise; Pro Football Focus is still in love with Kentucky Football.
We’ve seen the popular analytics website toss around some high praise for the Wildcats over the last few months, as they recently tabbed Drake Jackson as the nation’s top returning center, bragged on Boogie Watson, and even ranked UK 20th overall in its “Way Too Early Top 25”. Jackson, in particular, is always in the conversation when they tweet about offensive line stats, but they also enjoy sharing the wealth.
According to PFF’s Wins Above Average mark, Kentucky’s entire offensive line was listed as the most valuable group of lineman among all Power 5 teams in the 2019 season. They beat out Ohio State, Oregon, and Clemson for the top spot.

Earlier on Friday, our very own Nick Roush published an article about the media’s infatuation with the Wildcat offensive line. It starts with Jackson in the middle but surrounding him for the upcoming season are expected to be two of the SEC’s top lineman; Landon Young and Darian Kinnard.
Keep it coming, PFF. We love it.
