Kentucky moves up to No. 18 in the Coaches Poll

Following a 34-23 victory over Middle Tennessee State, the Kentucky Wildcats made a three-spot jump in the latest Coaches Poll.

The Cats came in at No. 18 overall, good for No. 5 in the SEC and No. 3 in the SEC East. The only conference foes ahead of Kentucky are Alabama (No. 1), Georgia (No. 5), LSU (No. 8), and Florida (No. 13), with Texas A&M, Missouri, and South Carolina also receiving votes.

Check out the entire poll below:

The AP Poll will come out at 2:00 p.m. ET, while the official College Football Playoff rankings come out on Tuesday night.

Why should we be happy. I mean just four weeks ago we were talking possibly getting to a New Years six bowl, and now we’re trying to stay out of a bowl game that we’ll all freeze. As long as we have Eddie gran, accept mediocrity, accept all the big schools just walk over us. I’m happy, but this program will only be seriously a mid-major when it comes to football. And to all of the fans that want to say this season is a success, no only part success. But bring in a OC that isn’t afraid to have a offensive playbook that isn’t from the 60’s

I believe we are fairly ranked. Unrelated but something I find interesting is the advertisements on here for liquor barn and party mart. Why? They are owned by a huge UL Dirty Bird supporter who is actually on the UL board! Don’t believe it? Check out blue equity and John blue (given name is actually blusinsky). So avoid liquor barn and party mart so you don’t support UL!

Looks like Swinney voted for Clempson and even he doesn’t believe it.

Credit UF being ranked ahead of UK. They stomped the crap out of their lesser opponent.

So you rather we have a team that would pretty much, that play hard, has an office in coordinator that calls plays then realizes he’s made a mistake, and a head coach that the stares at the clock. You at Tennessee use you all game long and were supposed to be happy. You play like you don’t want to lose instead you want to win. So why is it programs like Alabama and LSU and Georgia can build their programs and no win their teams on the field it’s pretty much a done deal. So let’s all be happy about the fact that you were going to possibly go not to a bowl game that we should have them, but a bowl game that is not going to mean anything

Well reality hurts. Face it, yes we’re 8-3, but imagine if we had a OC that knew how to call a game. And instead of settling we would finally be a team that can stand up to the big boys

What I see the difference in us and the top tier teams in the sec is this > 5 star linemen. Skill/position players are a dime-a-dozen compared to big stud interior players . It’s that simple .

More than likely, you all talk like we’ve had this AWSOME season. But we’re just a team that can’t sell out.
