Kentucky moves up to No. 17 in the latest AP Poll

The Kentucky Wildcats are moving the right direction in the polls.

In the week-13 edition of the AP Poll, the Cats moved up three spots to No. 17 overall following their 34-23 victory over Middle Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Alabama stuck around at No. 1 following their “scare” against Citadel, Georgia stayed at No. 5, LSU moved up two spots to No. 9, Florida moved up to No. 13, and Mississippi State jumped up to No. 22. The SEC leads all conferences with most representatives in the top-25.

Kentucky also moved up to No. 18 in the Coaches Poll, a three-spot jump from last week.

Here is the entire AP Poll:

We’ll hear Kentucky’s fate in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday, where the Wildcats could find themselves in the top-15 once again.

Go Cats.

I’m actually ok with Florida being ahead of us. That LSU win gave them some juice. I don’t like UCF being ranked so high. You want respect, schedule somebody good and beat them.

If we played FL again right now back at the swamp, we’re looking at a completely different outcome. UK better take top 15, be happy and keep their mouth shut.

Anyway Florida State beats Florida next week? We beat Louisville and get into the top 12?

Beat Louisville SOUNDLY and hope for a 15. We really don’t want to be ranked any higher than that until the final poll numbers after the Bowl games. THEN a Top 10 would be AWESOME!!!
