2 — Times Missouri has played a football game outside of their home stadium in 2019. Each resulted in a loss as double-digit favorites.

3.9 — Albert O’s catch to touchdown ratio. No other SEC tight end has as many touchdown receptions this season. His six are tied for the fifth-most in the league alongside Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy and LSU’s Terrace Marshall Jr.

4 — Straight years Kentucky has defeated Missouri. Only once has UK won by more than one score.

6 — Missouri has the top-ranked pass defense in the SEC and is sixth in the nation, giving up just 156.1 yards per game.

7.3 — Yards per carry by Lynn Bowden over the last two games. Only one other SEC runner with enough eligible carries has a better average than Bowden.

8 — Three-and-outs by Missouri in the second half against Kentucky in 2018.

8.3 — Yards per passing attempt by Kelly Bryant, trailing only Tua and Joe Burrow in the SEC.

13 — Missouri’s last 13 interceptions have been converted into touchdowns.

18 — Times a UK opponents has rushed for 20 yards or more, tied for the tenth-fewest in the nation.

39.13 — UK’s conversion rate on third and less than three yards. This graphic accurately depicts just how bad the Cats’ short yardage woes compare to other SEC teams.

Man, I was feeling pretty good about tonight until I saw those numbers. Ghastly! Still, it’s a good time to get it together and extend that winning streak.

These are not “just SEC” numbers. The gap is wider when you see both teams SEC only games Stats.

It’s why we PLAY the game. On paper, and looking at the numbers, you would conclude that we have no chance of beating Missouri. Are we to believe the numbers? We will know soon.

UK’s problems in short yardage is that they are ONLY trying to gain just enough for the first down. That mentality is self-limiting and a losing one.

Line up and run the damn offense. Take 5, 8, 10, or 13 when they’ll give it to you. If you’re only trying to get 1, the defense only has to protect about 75 sq yards. Make em protect more and you have better odds.

If you shoot or throw TO a spot rather than through a spot, you decrease your accuracy
