Kentucky Makes College Football News Preseason Top 25

Even though schedules remain in flux for all but one of the Power Five conferences, it’s not slowing down the production of preseason college football rankings.

College Football News is previewing the bizarre 2020 season by ranking all 130 FBS teams. In Pete Fiutak’s rankings Kentucky makes the top 25 cut by coming in at No. 25 overall.

What kind of magic will Kentucky conjure up this year? Ideally there will actually be a passing attack this time around, but the coaching staff has proven over the last few years that it can generate production and wins no matter what.

Kentucky is one of eight SEC teams in CFN’s preseason top 25. CFN is the second outlet to rank the Wildcats in the top 25, following Phil Steele. See where a few other notable names fall in the ranking of all 130 FBS teams.

They think our strength is defensive backs when our offensive line ranks third nationally. I have no wonder the validity of this study!

I agree the O-Line is probably better, but statistically, our secondary finished top 3 in the country in a couple different categories.

We are adding some serious talent to an already solid returning group of DBs.

No way Mississippi St should be ahead of Tennessee.

The analysts are sleeping on our Dline. We are loaded with talent, experience, and run about 9-10 deep that can all play at an SEC level… Hate that Chris Oats wont be in the middle of our defense this season but Jamin Davis is more than ready to dominate this season. If our LBs hold up, we could be in Atlanta.
