Kentucky-Louisville: By the Numbers

Crunching numbers isn’t typically a fun exercise, however, the search for Louisville’s most hysterical statistics was quite entertaining.  Enjoy the worst of the worst.

-14 — Louisville’s turnover margin is the worst in America.

5.9 — Average yards per carry by Louisville opponents.

6 — Times Louisville’s defense has given up 50 points or more, including their last four games.

9 — A Kentucky win would give UK nine regular season wins, the most since 1977.  It would also hand Louisville their tenth loss of the season, the most since Ron Cooper went 1-10 in 1997.

11 — Seniors will be honored before today’s game.  Kentucky’s last trip to Louisville for Senior Day ruined Brandon Radcliff’s pregame proposal.

41 — Times Louisville’s quarterback has been sacked this season.  Only Oregon State has surrendered more sacks.

60.7 — Average points scored by Louisville’s three ranked opponents.  Kentucky will be the Cards’ fourth ranked opponent.

70.1 — Terry Wilson’s completion percentage over the last three games.  He’s only thrown two interceptions since the Bye Week.

125 — Where Louisville’s rush defense ranks nationally out of 130 FBS teams.

128 — Where Louisville’s scoring defense ranks nationally out of 130 FBS teams.

All this means nothing at all; if our offense lays an egg early, the cards will get confident and before u know it, we’ll be fighting for our lives.

Looks very even to me excluding the record. If it wasn’t for our defense, our record wouldn’t be much better than Louisville’s. I do hope our offensive woes improve in this game!

What is the over / under on how many passes UK throws? I’ll take sixteen for $10.

We do not do good defending against a running qb. And if we come out with that old tired offense, 21-17
