Kentucky Jumps Three Spots in SEC Power Rankings

Jumping SEC rivals like Jojo

Following last weekend’s loss to Florida, the Cats dropped from ninth to eleventh in ESPN’s SEC power rankings. But now after a big win over the Tigers the Cats are on the rise once again as they secured their highest rank of the year from the staff at the worldwide leader.

Here is what ESPN had to say about UK:

8. Kentucky Wildcats (3-1): Coach Mark Stoops has already crossed a bunch of milestones off the bucket list. First road win, check. First win against a ranked team, check. The Wildcats delivered a solid effort against Missouri and should be 4-1 when Auburn comes to town Oct. 15.

The Cats are ranked ahead of Auburn, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. If they were to win those three games that would give them a winning record in the SEC for the first time since the Carter administration. Mississippi State is just ahead of Kentucky at number six and Georgia is near the top of the pack in third. South Carolina once made the trip to Atlanta with a conference record of 5-3, why not us? #IBelieve
