Kentucky jumps 15 spots in USA Today’s new rankings

Each week this season, USA Today is ranking all 130 teams in college football. You may remember that in the outlet’s preseason re-rank, Toledo was four spots ahead of Kentucky. After Kentucky’s 38-24 win over the Rockets, the Cats made a considerable jump, moving 15 spots up to No. 37.
Here’s where all of UK’s 2019 opponents landed in today’s re-rank compared to last week:
Toledo: 55 (-7)
Eastern Michigan: 73 (+1)
Florida: 15 (+13)
Mississippi State: 43 (-3)
South Carolina: 61 (-5)
Arkansas: 103 (-8)
Georgia: 3 (0)
Missouri: 76 (-35)
Tennessee: 100 (-39)
Vanderbilt: 87 (-2)
TN-Martin: —
Louisville: 104 (0)
Thirty-five and 39-spot drops for Missouri and Tennessee. Woof. To see the complete list, click the link below.

So, we should be 10-2 heading into a New Year’s Six bowl. I like it! What is striking is how poorly ranked so many of our SEC opponents are.
So you’re telling me there’s a chance at a 10 win, maybe 11 win, season?
And if we beat Florida 12 wins potentially
One thing that jumps out on the complete list – San Diego State
They won their game and still dropped 25 spots… ouch
Wait wait wait… 2 weeks ago KSR was all ‘Rankings don’t mean anything.” Now we’re making inferences about what we’ll finish by looking at rankings.
I’m still confident in 7-5 to 8-4.

Haha. Nice blast from the past.
I was 9-3 “minimum” at start of season and 10-2 as my pick With Ga and Miss St as our biggest challenges. Will stick with that.
Aayyyee! Great minds friend.
It is one game. I am still worried about our secondary. We gave up 24 to Toledo.
Meh. IIRC, we gave up 174 yards on their first 3 drives then 145 over their last 12. We scored, by quarter, 0-14-10-14. We played extremely well for nearly 3/4 of the game. I think the performance is being somewhat underestimated. Definitely a young group out there, however.
