Hope Zion Williamson doesn’t think we’re just a football school…

I dont think a UF win gets us 25. Vandy was previously ranked higher than us and beat a #18 KSt team and are sniffing the surface. We will likely receive 80-100 votes but not enough to get 25 unless quite a few teams take a dive.

6 of our 9 remaining opponents are ranked ahead of us. Need to win at least 2 of those to have a special season.

5 opponents are ahead of us, 4 behind out of the rest of our schedule. We are currently ahead of Eastern Mich, Ole Miss, Mizzou, and Tennessee, at least in this poll, although I think UT fell too far.

I get it but hate how teams lose this early and still stay up to the top of the rankings. Make them earn it and just not on paper, but make teams have to win to stay in the top 25. Just because a team loses and is for instance a name like LSU, why do they automatically get to stay ranked when they lost on the road to an unranked team? This is to me why the games after the reg season are always so lop sided. Im not saying UK should be ranked, but teams in general should not get in the top 25 because of where they started and because of their name, roster, etc….
