Kentucky is NOT ranked in AP, Coaches polls

(Photo: USA Today/Kim Klement)

Despite knocking down No. 25 Florida in historic fashion, your Kentucky Wildcats are NOT ranked in the latest AP or Coaches polls.

The Cats managed 19 votes in the AP Poll to come in at No. 34 overall and 34 in the Coaches Poll to come in at No. 31.

They’re behind just seven teams in the AP Poll, including Utah (92), Texas A&M (90), Boston College (45), Houston (32), Maryland (30), Colorado (25), and Iowa (23). They sit behind Texas A&M (87), Utah (86), Houston (46), South Carolina (43), Boston College (37) as others receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.

South Carolina and Florida each fell out of the top-25 following their week-two losses. Georgia and Mississippi State remain as the only two ranked teams remaining on Kentucky’s schedule.

We’ll just have to get ‘em next week.

Go 9-3 or 10-2 and they will be playing in a BIG TIME BOWL and ranked Top 20. Could care less at this point.

Umm I think you mean you couldn’t care less… go watch basketball then. We don’t need fans like you

Why? Because he doesn’t care that we’re not ranked yet? Silly reason to say we don’t need fans like him. I know nothing about him, but that comment alone doesn’t mean he’s not a devoted fan.

You can’t be a devoted fan unless you have user name that tells other people how true blue you are.

Agree 9isnext, maybe we don’t need fans trueblue…

This is why “fans” like you are pathetic. This guy said we have the possibility to make it to a good bowl, and your reaction is to tell him to go away? You are a special type of stupid.

He just meant he doesn’t care whether we are ranked or not. Good thing we have fans like you to help sh!t on other fans. I bet you’re fun at parties.

His comment wasn’t directed toward the fact that we’re not ranked. He clearly stated that he won’t care until we 9-3 or 10-2 and play in a BIG BOWL GAME…. NO we don’t need fans like that or like you all. This site brings out the most uneducated opionated fans in our base. You all should just jump the fence and sport your red hoodies and chin strap beards. You would rather whine and argue amongst the fan base then celebrate what was clearly a very special win. Bunch of ignorant trolls.

Looks to me like he is saying he could care less about not being ranked at this point. He says if we go 9-3 or 10-2 ranking will take care of itself. trueblue you look like the ignorant troll you accuse us of being. Really was no need for your comments. And it really does not matter as these early rankings are just a tv publicity, how can any team be ranked until we see them play and how good they really are. FSU was a preseason top ranked team…..how good are they really. Same with several others and we see the same thing in basketball. All these early rankings are for is so tv can say # whatever is playing on my channel.

@truebluefootballfan. Comprehension must not be your strong suit, is it? Oh and by the way, you might want to proofread before you call others uneducated.

We’ll have to beat Mississippi State to be ranked

Especially considering both teams play patsies this week. MSU will be around #10 when we play them. Perhaps with a 40-50+ win over Murray, we will be sitting right at #25.

After the beatdown UGa put on Carolina how in the hell are they still ranked above us?!?!? I swear its all about the media. UF beats an FCS team by 43 points at Swamp and they get in the top 25. We go to the Swamp and literally dominant them and cant even sneak in… i guess its a “well they werent as good as we thought since UK beat them” i know it doesnt matter too much but it kinda does and I dont think Murray St is gonna help us get into the top 25 unless we beat them by 50, which we just dont do to teams like Murray. All in all we are going to have to beat a top 15 Miss St team under the lights at Kroger Field to get into the top 25.

We honestly, for the first time in the stoops era, deserve to be ranked. Be could be most of the teams ahead of us.

More fuel for the fire that burns in Benny, Kash and the rest of the team!

Maybe after this week vs Murray if others get beaten ahead of us and we dominate

That’s ok don’t rank us ! After all we’re just Kentucky ! Yesterday we were Gator Bait!! You should have seen their faces as we dragged them into the boat and tagged them, I don’t know which stadium cleared faster ! Was it Louisville or the Swamp ! Both were priceless! Keep doubting us Stoops has a new recipe a special blend he’s canned for this season it comes in a Jar straight out of Kroger Field it’s Called Called Wildcat Whoop Ass !

Good point about the crowd. We were backed up and the announcer said, “Listen to the crowd get loud on 3rd and 16″. Then Terry hit Bowden for 54 yards…the announcer said ” don’t know when you’ll hear a crowd get that loud, then that quiet…that fast”.
      Ha ha ha.

Missouri and Vandy also have gripes. Both are very dangerous teams. The East is better than people think…sans Tennessee..lol.

You don’t get into the top 25 as a mid-30’s team beating #25. Just keep winning and the rankings will work out.

UF was on the list of those 2 of 4 games we needed to possibly win to advance or season along with Miss St, TA&M, and Louisville. Louisville looked like an ok FCS team in their last 2 games so there should be our 2nd win. Add in SCAR, Vandy, and Tenn as very beatable teams and the fact Mizzou is a winnable game and we should have nice shot at 9 wins. 10 if we can get a non triple-option bowl team.
