Kentucky is Favored in College Football Opening Week Lines

There are just a little more than 14 weeks until the college football season begins.  That may sound a long way away, but it’s close enough for Las Vegas to produce some opening week lines.

To no surprise, your Kentucky Football Wildcats are favored in the first game of the season.  The Cats are 20-point favorites over Central Michigan at Kroger Field, according to OddShark.  They don’t have the lines from every game, but they’ve got ’em for the most intriguing match-ups.

  • Alabama – 28.5 vs. Louisville
  • West Virginia -7 vs. Tennessee
  • Auburn -3 vs. Washington
  • Ole Miss -1.5 vs. Texas Tech
  • Vanderbilt -7.5 vs. Middle Tennessee
  • Miami -3 vs. LSU

Only 101 more football days until the college football season officially begins when Northwestern travels to Purdue (4.5-point favorites) on Thursday August 31.

I can’t wait to see Stoops build a lead and then pray that they can hold on for the entire 2nd half.

Hey Stoops… don’t panic after a timeout to get things set up! Oh wait… there’s an uncovered receiver….#NotOnceBUTtwice!

There’s no way Alabama covers that spread versus Little Bro at a neutral site in Orlando imo. They will win easily, but 28.5 is a big number and will be a good bit less by game day.

      I’d put it around 20.

UL will be fortunate if their QB doesn’t end up in the hospital.

There’s no way Alabama doesn’t cover that spread. Alabama will make UL look like they’ve never seen a football in their life. Cheating doesn’t even work against Bama.

Agree. It’s a big spread, but this game is going to get ugly for U-6. Alabama expects to be in the playoff and will be looking to make a statement.

    I would’t take U6 and 28.5.
