Kentucky Football’s Week 1 Depth Chart is out

The first depth chart of the 2018 Kentucky football season is out. As previously announced, Terry Wilson will be the starting quarterback for the season opener vs. Central Michigan.

Stoops shared which players he expects to play right away and possibly supersede the four-game limit for redshirt freshmen.

On defense, linebackers DeAndre Square and Chris Oats will play.  Nose guard Marquan McCall has the potential to play, but they will see how that situation develops throughout the season. Chance Poore will travel and act as a long-range field goal specialist. Offensively, wide receivers Akeem Hayes and Allen Dailey (a name we haven’t heard much about during camp) have earned the right to play. Darian Kinnard will help fill the void left by Landon Young.  Stoops also expects both tight ends, Brenden Bates and Keaton Upshaw, to be used.

We need linebackers bad after Kash, not one guy is over 235 or teetering n that weight. We need a couple thumpers at 255 that can hit the hole and punish some people. We all know sec is a running league. Hell alot of rb are 6’0 225 and get a head of steam going before a lb even sees run. I want some hitters hopefully oats can get there and put on another 6 pounds of muscle in the next month or 2 to be a solid option or maybe if the d line is better this year these guys can be more effective. We have a lot of talent and this should be our yr. prolly stoops best defense if we had paschal still…? What’s the word on him???
