Kentucky Football team, Mark Stoops to march in Lexington protest

This afternoon, another protest against racial injustice and police violence will take place in downtown Lexington, and some very prominent figures will be at the front of the march. KSR is hearing that members of the Kentucky Football team will participate in the protest, led by Mark Stoops and Courtney Love, former player and current director of player development.

This will be the eighth straight day that people have gathered downtown to demand justice for the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other persons of color. For the most part, the protests in Lexington have remained peaceful; in fact, for the first time this week, police officers did not wear riot gear last night to show protesters they are willing to listen, and even handed out popsicles.

KSR will be on the scene this afternoon, so stay tuned.

The University of KY has officially endorsed and accepted at face value the premise that America is inherently racist and the police are corrupt across the board. This is pure madness. When will people wake up and realize this isn’t about race, or Mr Floyd, or any one else. This is about deconstructing America and demonizing anyone that dares profess allegiance to America. If anyone believes the democrats or ANTIFA cares for black people for a second they are fooling themselves. Racial politics is a means to an end, and it isn’t justice. It’s control. It’s division. And everyone is playing right into the hands of those who seek to control you. It’s not about justice or freedom. It’s the opposite. You either conform to their worldview or you have no place in the public square. Wake up!

America is inherently racist. It doesn’t mean the majority are are. It means for too long too many racist elements have been allowed to exist and infiltrate our pillars of power. My grandfather was judge, elected for 30+ straight years, and he was a racist and bigot who won awards to various groups for being a great “Christian” leader. There are thousands like him all over the country and we must root them out and eliminate them from our society. I also saw many during my time in the Navy. Just because you, in your white privilege, don’t see it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

You are correct, my friend. This saddens me a great deal. What is going on in America is doing the exact opposite of the supposed marches- completely creating more division in America, and not unifying people. The narrative that cops are bad people and that most of the country is racist is completely false. Do people actually think that all the racists would support all these teams that are predominantly filled with black players? Do they really think Obama would get elected twice if the country was filled with racists? It really does seem like the university is endorsing looting, rioting, stealing, arson and the shutting down of businesses that hard working Americans own. What happened to Mr Floyd was awful and those cops will pay for it. But, to lump in all cops as racists is ludicrous and the stats don’t back it up. We are absolutely ruining sports and I think turning off a large portion of the fans. I know it has for me.

Hell yes, it’s about the deconstruction of this racist nation. We have to break down the racist divide and stop allowing the police and public figures to treat others as not equal. Until we have violent police in handcuffs and demilitarize our police we won’t have justice for individuals who are murder by police. BLM!

Just an FYI there are more white people killed by police every year than blacks. This year alone over 177 white people have been shot and killed vs 77 blacks. Systematic racism has a problem with facts. Not saying there haven’t been instances, but isn’t likely. Names like: Ariel Roman, Dillon Taylor, Ricky Ellsworth, and the list goes on of white people who were killed by black cops and nothing done about it. No riots, no justice. Hell, most people don’t know who they are because of their color. Smh. This whole woke thing is old already. People want a movement they can move on out to a better country

This is embarrassing just like the “vigil” and “moment of silence” held for Mike Brown (the thug who attacked an officer after robbing a store and was shot). Most of the protests are hate filled people who attack those who don’t march with them, burn and loot buildings, assault people, ect. If these were white groups marching while doing the same thing it would be a state of emergency for the nation.
