Kentucky Football Bowl Projections Through Four Games

Believe it or not, we’ve almost reached the halfway point of the 2020 Kentucky football season. As the games chug along, college football prognosticators are already looking ahead to the postseason.

This year’s bowl slate will be unlike any of its predecessors. There is no longer a win requirement to become bowl eligible. We also haven’t seen about 40 percent of college football in action. The Big Ten kicks off this week, followed by the Pac-12, Mountain West and MAC.

Despite the circumstances, we still have a fresh batch of bowl projections to consume following Kentucky’s 34-7 win over #18 Tennessee. At least two college football analysts believe Kentucky could play in a bowl game Mark Stoops has not attended before at UK, the Outback Bowl in Tampa.

I’d love to see us have a chance at beating Texas or Michigan. That would be a huge boost to recruiting up North, I bet.

How about taking a fabric Sharpie and adding “more than just” between the words “Kentucky” and “bowl”?

I was hoping to play Louisville but they need to win a game or two.

Schalbach was the same ole lazy, tired prediction of the Music Bowl and Jerry Palm with the Liberty Bowl. IF and it is a BIG IF we win 5 games, we are going to a bigger bowl. 4-6 maybe the Music City or Liberty, but 5-5 or better, we are going to the Gator Bowl or better. 5-5 is really like 8-4 in normal years. 5 wins in the SEC with out the 4 built in wins is a very nice season. Not often we finish .500 or better in conference. Really would love to see us finish 6-4, after losing BOTH Auburn and Ole Miss, it will be a tough task. Win one of those, hell both and we would be sitting nice right now. 7-3 would have definitely been possible, 8-2 a reach but possible. To get to 6-4 we have all ready used up our margin of error and need a little luck. Have to win all of Missouri, Vandy, and South Carolina to get to 5-5, should be favored in all 3, SC will be close spread wise. UF or Georgia to get to 6-4.

We all know we’re playing UofL for the Governor’s cup during the postseason.
