Kentucky falls to No. 12 in the AP Poll

Like the Coaches Poll, the AP voters were fairly kind to the Kentucky Wildcats in the latest rankings following their loss to Georgia on Saturday night.

In the week-11 AP Poll, Kentucky fell just one spot to No. 12 in the nation, matching their representation in the Coaches Poll.

Alabama (No. 1), Georgia (No. 5), and LSU (No. 9) are the only SEC schools ranked ahead of Kentucky, with Mississippi State (No. 18) and Florida (No. 19) rounding out the conference representatives in the top-25.

Check out the entire list below:

Kentucky was No. 11 in the AP Poll last week and No. 12 in the Coaches Poll. The College Football Playoff rankings had the Cats at No. 9, the highest of all major polls.

We’ll see what the College Football Playoff committee thinks of the Wildcats when their poll is released on Tuesday at 9:00 p.m.

I guess after that huge “statement win” against Nebraska Ohio State is in the playoff conversation again. Smh

They will be out of the conversation after Michigan beats them.

Ohio State may lose at least 2 of the last three, and if Maryland shows up, they could lose all 3.

Could’ve been worse. Kids need a goal and their goal has been SEC Championship game since spring practice. Coaches need to get them to buy into a new goal right now. Top 10 finish, New Years 6 Bowl would be a good one.

I am ok with 12th this year. We should only move up from here. Top 10 for the year would be an excellent season for most schools, and quite remarkable for Kentucky this year.

These rankings are such a waste of time. You mean to tell me Ohio State could beat LSU?

If both teams were playing their best it would be a good game but I agree with u. Now before the middlle linebacker bosa is it ? He made a big difference.

We’ve won 11 games once. Ten games once. Tying for winningest team in school history would be a nice goal… but they’re going to have to play UT like they did Miss St or UF.

OH ST at 8 is ridiculous! I hope Michigan destroys them! Oh, and I can’t stand Harbaugh.

Let’s just say UK wins out that puts us at 10-2. That’s a hell of a year and a big jump from previous 2 years. And that Missouri win looks a lot bigger after they went to the swamp and beat them bad
