Kentucky Falls in CFB Playoff Rankings

The Good News: Kentucky is in the College Football Playoff Rankings for the second straight week. The Bad News: the loss to Georgia didn’t help.

After debuting at No. 9 in the first CFB Playoff Top 25 of the season, the Cats dropped two spots to No. 11 in week two. UK is still one spot ahead of undefeated UCF.

Obviously. 2 top 10 teams played. Still love being a top team.

Why so negative? They only fell two spots!

Happy as hell at the rankings! Only 2 dropped spots? Loving that!

Seriously, the headline should read “Holy Crap, We’re Still Top 11!”. I’m sure most of us thought we would drop to 15 or so. Puts us in great position for a New Years 6 Bowl!

Win out and we’ll be #5! Teams above us are going to lose for certain; excluding AL of course.

Putting us at #11 all but guarantees Peach/Fiesta if we were to win out. WVU and Oklahoma will have to play each other twice. Could be key.

We just need to focus on Tn. We could easily lose this game if we don’t.

WE don’t have to focus on Tennesee, the guys that have to play the game needs to focus on Tennesee. WE are fans talking about the season and the what if’s an what can be’s. To think that WE as fans, can have any bearing on games or the season by looking ahead or ‘one game at a time guys ‘ is about the funniest thing I’ve ever heard. And there’s been a whole lot of funny this year.

Agree w/ BlueDew. Your post makes it sound as though being ranked 11 ruined our season. Lighten up. We’re have a great year by any KY standard.

Like I’ve said, we have a chance to finish 10-2, ranked in the top ten, and a big 6 bowl! A lot left to be played for!!!!

Love that we only fell two spots. But Ohio state over us?! Get destroyed by Purdue then barely beat a 2 win team. That’s all you have to do to be in the top ten if your “THE” Ohio state university. Smh.

Hey we win out and we have a shot of going bowling to ring in the New Year and that isn’t something we’re used to. Whether it be right before or during injoy it.

Good thing football team is playing well, basketball team looks like a lost cause against the Dukies.

Agreed – glad we have another almost two months to focus on football and recruiting. This basketball team is god awful.

Well no shit!!! What you think they were going to move up after losing? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to Know we were going to drop. The title should of been. ” Wildcats only fall 2 spots in CFB rankings!” I mean no way did I or 99.9999% of the fan base think we were falling only 2 spots! Hell I thought we were dropping anywhere from 4-7 spots. Getting smashed at home like we did.

I hope we play UCF somewhere instead of Ohio state. Would be nice to end the year breaking there winning streak.

What a negative headline. We are just outside the top ten. Sure hope team can beat Tn. That would be really cool.

Very happy with and understand that we would drop a few spots. And if we win out we will move up because all those teams above us will be playing each other. The Ohio State will play Michigan for one game, and West Virginia plays Oklahoma so there will be opportunities to move back in to the top ten and maybe top 6 to 8. So let’s as fans stay focused and keep showing our support. Cause it’s going to be awhile before the basketball team to get going.
