Kentucky falls eight spots to No. 20 in AP Poll

As expected, the AP voters were not fond of the Kentucky Wildcats this week.

In their latest week-12 update, Kentucky fell to No. 20 in the AP Poll, an eight-spot drop.

Alabama (No. 1), Georgia (No. 5), LSU (No. 10), Florida (No. 15), and Mississippi State (No. 25) round out the SEC representatives in the top-25.

Here’s the entire poll:

The College Football Playoff Poll will be released Tuesday night.

That’s very generous We’re probably about 50th in reality.

We will eventually be out of the top 25 with Eddie Gran as the OC. What a joke of a coach. He’s ruined what could have been a magical season. He will forever go down in the history of UK football as a definition of “coulda shoulda woulda.” He needs to buy Matt House a beer.

We just keep repeating the same mistakes. Anyone remember Elliot Uzelac, Shannon Dawson. We hire these same clowns every few years.

This comes down to one thing. We the fans, have to make a statement. And that is WE’VE HAD ENOUGH. We’re the ones who spend the money, watch a product if it was in the store would be in the shelf at Dollar General. Finish 9-3, so what? That’s tainted. And what’s said from stoops, it’s his fault. Ok it is, but your the one that has to answer not to the school, not to the media, but us, the fans that sit there and watch this team implode. Thank you coach, but guess what, you might walk into Kroger Field and receive the JOKER PHILLIPS GIFT. And that’s a 60,000 seat stadium with only 10,000. It’s the gift that keeps on giving

You would think with a 250000 bonus for each win after six he would be leading the team. Evidently Stoops has enough money and doesn’t care about earning anymore.

It was a bad game and a lot of fans are frustrated but this is unquestionably the most idiotic statement I’ve read. Gran sucks but what makes you think UK football fans should be fed up with 9-3? Boycott a la Joker’s last season! It must be nice to live outside the boundaries of reality where we go undefeated and win the National Championship every year.

That’s the only standard some of the c word fans accept. They make us all look terrible. 9-3? 8-4? I’ll take it and be happy about it. We aren’t Alabama. To even have the expectation that we are is delusional. Offense is stagnant for sure. As fans, you’re either down with the worst of situations too, or you just admit you’re a fair weather Johnson. I love and rep BBN whether we’re 12-0, or 0-12.

Not a top 25 team anymore, on either side of the ball

Agree. That’s very kind, just like the commentators were during the game.

The attitude on this team is different. Something needs too change in the locker room or coaching departments. Not necessarily personnel changes, but where is the team that went 6-1? And why did they leave?

The fans have spoken yhe truth. When will coaches fess up…..uhhh likely never? That’s fine. Once the attendance drops, Mitch might finally address the big elephant in the locker room.

Muddy, do you settle for second best? Cause you must be one of the few that likes to settle

I mean, we are Kentucky football. To think, that while the Nick Saban’s of the world are still coaching that we are ever going to be direct level championship contenders with them is kind of silly man. UK going 9-3, in the SEC???? I’m ultra happy with that.

Settling assumes this is the best that things will ever get. Its not about settling. It’s about persevering. 2 wins-5 wins-7 wins-9 wins…. clear progress. You don’t quit just because things aren’t perfect. Everyone wants to be number one yet only one team gets to be champion. Even Bama only has 17 in 100 plus years of football. What makes you think we’re on that level yet? I get being frustrated, but to even suggest giving Stoops the Joker treatment if we reach 9 wins is asinine. Things were so much worse then. It takes toughness to reach a summit. The mentally weak tend to quit half way up the mountain.

I’m very happy about the first half of the season, but how does a team that is 6-2 implode so bad?
