Kentucky defensive lineman Qua Mahone enters the transfer portal

For the second time in three days, a Kentucky football player has entered the transfer portal.
Jerquavion “Qua” Mahone, a defensive lineman from Columbus, Ga., has entered the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz reports. He is the seventh player from the Wildcats’ 2018 class to leave UK via the transfer portal.
In 2020, Mahone was a surprise midseason riser up the depth chart. The redshirt sophomore logged significant snaps in the defensive line rotation, recording three tackles and 1.5 TFL in five games. His first and only career sack was against Louisville in the final game of the 2019 regular season.
Despite the loss, Anwar Stewart’s defensive line still has plenty of depth thanks to excellent recruiting in the 2020 class, highlighted by Octavious Oxendine and Justin Rogers. Mahone is the seventh Kentucky football player to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
