Kentucky currently in third place in SEC East

Your University of Kentucky Wildcats are now in sole possession of third place in the SEC East. Say what you will about how the season has gone so far, but numbers never lie.

An early December trip to Atlanta is still in play, mathematically.

That is an amazing fact, and it is amazing that this team has a chance to get to 6-6 and bowl game. Who would thought that was possible a few weeks back. Our defense is playing better but our offense has become 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Is it really that hard for a division I college FB to complete a few passes down field.

They got two weeks get offense better. Win next two then there is 99%of bowl.

Kentucky did not win today…Vanderbilt just found a way to lose. No way this team can win three more games. They may only be favored over Austin Peay of the last six opponents, and by then they will probably be 3-7 and half the team will be wondering where to get basketball tickets. The only real question remaining this season is who will be the coach next year…Stoops or ????. IMO, they should fire Stoops and Barnhart (Gillespie, Joker, and Stoops…three strikes and you’re out!).

That’s absolutely ridiculous to ask for Barnhart to be fired! He has hired excellent coaches and outside of the football team has made hires across almost every sport to keep each team relevant on a national level. Firing Stoops makes sense if this season doesn’t change dramatically, but asking for the AD to be fired because of 3 bad coaches in the past 15 years is not reasonable. Joker and Gillespie were taken care of swiftly, they were given their time to prove themselves and then were told to leave. Stoops may be next, Barnhart would be welcomed at any school in the country. A nationally recognized AD.

Can also say we are just half game out of first place. But must agree with post above, this looked like what team wanted to lose most and Vandy pulled it out dropping a late wide open TD pass. Offense that looked so great 1st half of 1st game is now horrible. Oline can’t block and QB can’t throw so we will beat no average teams and all the rest are average or better except for Peay. Loserville can name the score against us. Tenn will kill us. UGA, MSU and Mizzou have all looked bad at times but we normally change that. We lost to USM at home, same USM that was easily beaten today by something called UTSA. Yeah that same team that beat us on our field after trailing 35-10.

Oh how quickly we throw shade on a win blaming mistakes on Vandy. Well, what about the fumble by Williams on opening drive of 2nd half. If not for that bumble perhaps UK gets 6 more and Vandy doesn’t get the TD. Or how about all the bad passes by Johnson no we can’t remember that. Yes, UK could have lost and still play better than Vandy.
