Kash Daniel and Benny Snell are Happy to Shut Up the Haters

For the second straight week, Kentucky’s opponent talked trash about Benny Snell.  For the second straight week, he was happy to prove them wrong.

“That’s exactly what they get….I overcome adversity.  This team overcomes adversity.  So watch your mouth.  I ain’t playing.”

He was not playing.  Snell rushed for 175 yards (6.5 yards per carry) to lead a dominant 303-yard performance on the ground.

Nobody directly called out Kash Daniel, but he heard enough from the haters.  Daniel was prepared to go to war to make sure Benny bested Florida.

“This changes the game,” Daniel said  Hopefully now everybody gives us some (of) the respect we earned.  There will probably still be some doubters, just because we’re Kentucky, but that’s okay.  Keep at it.  Keep running your mouth.  Keep opening your mouth about Benny.  Keep opening your mouth about our defense.  Keep opening your mouth and we’ll shut it up for ya.

Daniel followed up an 11-tackle performance in week one with another 11-tackle game.  He’s happy to prove his opponents wrong.  He was just as happy to silence the “fans” who did not believe Kentucky could beat Florida.

“Everybody’s on Twitter saying, ‘We’re playing Florida today.  Might as well start drinking heavy.’  Well you know what?  Start drinking.  Start drinking with a smile on your face because we just came to The Swamp and did that.”

He got so wound up, he almost dropped an F-bomb.

All of the trash-talk, all of the adversity this team faced manifested itself in the win over Florida.  They knew they weren’t “supposed” to win.  It only fueled their fire to do something Kentucky had not done since 1986.

This season can be a special season as long as we keep playing with the chip on our shoulder, and that big ass heart!! Easy to see why we won, and I never doubted it, great job team ??

I’m not a hater, I just didn’t think stoops had the play calling in him. Salute to him. He actually sandbagged in game one. And he opened up the offense. All around good coaching. A total game. His first. Hopefully not his last. On the fence, but leaning.

Stoops was unproven as a head coach when they hired him. We all knew that. He was hired on his name. He has had on the job training and has learned from mistakes, like we all should. He has put good people around him and will continue to grow in his role as a head coach. Props to him. With continued success, comes the chance that a bigger name football school might want him. But it’s a good problem to have, in this moment. I think this team will build on this win and be successful because of their hunger. Let’s enjoy it in this moment.

Speak all you want, running an idiot RPO offense without a qb to do it is a recipe for another loss. The streak continues. We have 9-10 win talent and a 6 win coach.

We have no chance at Florida with Wilson running. Why do you need a running qb when you have runners all over the field? You don’t, you need a passing QB. Makes no sense to have this kinda of offensive weapons and not run a pro set offense.

We are a middle of the pack sec team. Let’s be honest, why would he know Benny? If we don’t beat them down by at least 30, expect another 6 win, struggle to score, struggle to stop anyone season. And an empty stadium in a few games.

I was wrong and admit it. I thought we had no chance. Way to go team. So proud for you.
