True freshman Josh Paschal has received plenty of guidance and grief from his mentors, Denzil Ware and Josh Allen. The Blitz Bros lived up to their name today by combining for 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 2 quarterback hurries. The elite pass rushers aren’t opposed to adding more to their ranks, but the Blitz Bro title must be earned. Josh Paschal earned it today (kind of).
“He upgraded to Blitz Cousin,” Ware said with a laugh after the game. “I’m just playing man. Paschal, he does a lot of good things that people really don’t notice. He’s still the baby out of all of us, so he’s still going to be Blitz Baby, but at the end of the day, I’m just proud that he did something and had fun out there.”
Paschal did more than just something. He made the play that carried Kentucky to a victory. His blocked punt in the fourth quarter set up a Benny Snell touchdown that gave UK a ten-point lead and put the game out of reach. Along with the game-changing special teams play, Paschal added a half sack and a quarterback hurry.
Paschal is growing, but after today he’s no longer a (blitz) baby.
