Josh Allen made the play of the game by delaying final spot

Josh Allen made the play that saved Kentucky in the end, but many of you probably didn’t even notice.

With Missouri rushing to the line of scrimmage to stop the clock in the final seconds of the game, Allen poked the ball loose from Missouri’s J’Mon Moore as Moore was trying to get it to the official for the spot. The ball rolled about 10 yards past the line of scrimmage, and the official, who was in no hurry to grab it, spent almost 10 seconds retrieving the ball and getting it to the spot.

The delay left Missouri with only three seconds to run a play, when the Tigers likely would’ve gotten two looks at the end zone if Allen hadn’t intervened.

It was smart thinking on Allen’s part. You can’t teach that.

Should’ve been a penalty. But we’ve been screwed by refs so much I certainly ain’t losing any sleep over that missed call.

Not a penalty, but the refs could have easily blown the whistle and stopped the clock until they retrieved the ball.

Yes, it’s a delay of game penalty

I don’t know about that. I can’t even tell that he hit the ball out of his hands, let alone it being intentional. But, I could be wrong:-)

And, it was a football play….we wouldn’t understand.

Really didn’t matter. If they go to the end zone they had time for one play either way. I guess they could’ve tried to gain a quick 5 on the sidelines, but that’s pretty pointless in that situation.

I’m pretty sure we got a “delaying the game” (not delay of game) last year when a player tossed the ball after a big play.

This should of been a penalty. Its unsportsmanlike. Please don’t brag about it.

I’m glad it happened, I would be upset if the same happened to us though

if it was intentional (just saw the hand knocking it out, not before), i think it’s a cheap play. We all would have been furious with another hats so Kentucky moment

Yeah no other team woulda pulled a stunt like that because they wanted to win so badly. Damn him for that cheap play that helped us win the game.

Yeah two wrongs might make a right. Steal what you want give nothing back. Pirate football. Down with the rebels. Woohoo the means always justify the ends.

Just like trip zeros in triple overtime game against Florida! Right on.

I’m glad we won and I don’t really give a shit about that guy doing that, but the only ones who think it was really cool or “the play of the game” are young impressionable people.

If I was Missouri, I would’ve been more pissed about the refs effort in getting the ball lol

One thing I liked though is I never saw us get completely conservative with the play calling all night, when in other games we would have.

    If the refs don’t see it,it’s not a penalty. A dub-ya is a dub-ya.

Not a penalty. But it’s not alright.

It’s alright by me. We’ve been on the receiving end for years, not it’s payback time!

Its not subjective. Wrong is wrong.
Deflategate didn’t become wrong only when discovered.
Louisville wasn’t run by angels up until exposed.
      They were already rotten.

We weren’t due to pull a fast one

It would of been nice had we not had to be in a game at this point against the worst team in the SEC.

Saying it’s the play of the game is ignorant.

I’m glad we won. Life isn’t always fair and it wasn’t fair to Missouri.
