I have written a lot of headlines during my time at KSR, but this one might be my least surprising one. “Josh Allen continues to receive praise from Jaguar coaching staff;” I mean c’mon, does this really surprise anyone?
Jaguar head coach Doug Marrone spoke late last week about the impact the rookie could have on their defensive line in creating one of the NFL’s best at the position.

You can’t see it in this video, but Allen did have a small cast on his hand during this interview. The Jaguars were very open about it being nothing serious at all and the former Cat is continuing to practice.
In fact, the New Jersey native was taking snaps today with the first-team defensive line that just received another piece back.
Josh Allen, Calais Campbell, and Yannick Ngakoue are all on the field for the defense at the same time right now. #Jaguars

When searching for some more information on Allen, I came across a tweet that was guaranteeing that he was going to be a bust. I would post that here, but that’s beyond even our “Facts are Optional” tagline. I mean it is just pure stupidity.
You will be able to see your first glance at Allen and the Jaguars on Thursday evening when he travels to Baltimore for their preseason opener.
His first true NFL game is on Sept. 8 at home against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Obviously, this all means that in his first preseason game, he will go up against Lamar Jackson and in his first regular-season game he will face Mahomes. From scrambler to gunslinger, the former Cat will be tested, but I have no doubt that he will succeed.
