Jordan Jones will Play with a Broken Hand against Georgia

Just under 48 hours until Kentucky kicks off arguably the biggest game in their history, Mark Stoops broke the news that Jordan Jones suffered a broken hand during practice this week.

Stoops said Jones will still play.

Jones will be wearing a club like Kash Daniel did last week. We saw Kash struggle with his broken hand last week, but hopefully, both players will be able to play through it against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

“He did [get injured],” Stoops said. “He’s playing. We’re gonna have the Q-tip brothers out there. He’s also got a broken hand.” Stoops also said Kash is, of course, trying to keep Jones in good spirits and help coach him up before Saturday.

Expect to see a lot of Chris Oats and DeAndre Square on Saturday.

Not the best news to hear on the Thursday before Kentucky’s biggest game in over 50 years.

    That’s horrible news!

Agree. This is really bad news because JJ is a true SEC caliber linebacker and a big play guy who can be counted on to step up in big games…

That kind of scares me when I think about how many times he has reached out and barely gotten a guy who is about to break a big one…

We won’t be able to have both he and Kash on the field at the same time.

It’s definitely a great opportunity for Oats considering the magnitude of the game.

I was just about to say that oats has done a dang good job and held his own any time he has been on the field this year. But he isn’t JJ and this game on this stage isn’t exactly familiar territory

Not good at all! Kash maned up last week but to say he was not up to par is just a huge understatement!!!! Let’s hope Oats is RW&A!!!

Kash was definitely off his game (and has been since he missed a half for targeting), but hopefully the game experience and practices since have Kash closer to his usual self.

Kash and Jones are definitely a couple of our most fiery players on the field.

We will be just fine. If this remarkable team has taught us anything, it’s that no man is greater than the sum of the parts. Cats got this, 24-10.

  12. Wade
    7:14 pm November 1, 2018 Permalink

His speed and aggressiveness help him wrap up and push players out to the corner so someone else can come up and get in on the action. I think we will be ok but oats and square will get some reps and have done great. Don’t think interceptions are gonna happen over the middle though so they will be attacking that spot for sure if they’re smart and look for missed tackles and big plays! I think you can only have one q tip boy at a time play so pair oats and Jones and Kash and square together. We will be fine. Hell extend those tips by a foot and just bat balls away. If we win like this we better get mad respect. Go cats

matt Jones is an arrogant liberal “lawyer” (guy who wasted daddy’s money to avoid life until deciding he didnt want to do anything a law degree) who has no respect for his listeners or viewers. half the calls he takes are dripping with condensention and disrespect to the callers. how anybody who isn’t a flaming, cross dressing liberal would ever spend a dime at his restaurant is beyond me. bdubs is right next door and their owner doenst openly hate the way most kentuckians think

      And the word is condescension.

God I hope you’re trolling, but there are plenty of people in this state who think and talk like this. Hell, it wouldn’t be a KSR post without some jealous whiner calling Matt a liberal.

Know how I know someone’s opinion is uninformed and not worth listening to? They use words like liberal and socialist to try to demonize people they disagree with.

(I’m a conservative Republican and I’m tired of the hypocrisy and idiocy I see everywhere from my party.)

    • Han, no conservative has a problem using those terms when they are accurate. Stick to football here!

donald Trump is an arrogant republican “real estate tycoon” (guy who wasted daddy’s money to avoid life until deciding he didnt want to do anything a business degree) who has no respect for his citizens or constituents. half the addresses he gives are dripping with condescension and disrespect to the people. how anybody who isnt a hateful, angry right wing extremist would ever spend a vote on his presidency is beyond me.

Oh and KSBar is a cheaper and tastier, Kentucky owned and operated business, while BDubs is an internationally owned corporation that has a staunch anti 2nd amendment stance.

Your comment makes me very sad for you. I truly hope you can find happiness and let go of some of that hate in your heart. To paraphrase a certain someone, there are bad people on both sides, and having an (L) or (R) next to your name doesn’t automatically make you a good or bad person. We’re all just people trying our best to do our best the best way we know how. Better to do that with an open mind and open heart than with anger and hate. God bless you ukcats1776.90 and GO CATS

Please remember, we have all been dumbed down and manipulated by the educational system and media (6 conglomerates control every single movie, tv program, or news station we watch or listen to). The real power lies beyond Bush, Clinton, Obama or Trump. They are all controlled no matter what anyone thinks. All you have to do is follow the airport in tiny Mena, Arkansas where you find the Bushes and the Clintons. It is all a game. We are all manipulated by these huge companies with interlocking boards. There is no conservative media nor is their a liberal media as they are owned by the same people! They use the mouthpieces to mess with us. They give us these ridiculous minor issues and have us yelling at each other, while all the important things happen without a word. The real power lies closer to the owners of our central banks who hold us all hostage.

Although it sucks he broke his hand, I’m not too overly concerned because he uses the roll tackle a lot already. It was hard on Kash because he uses a more physical type of tackling. I don’t expect jones to struggle too much if at all. Only in coverage it might be a problem for him
