Jacob Tamme’s speech before the ’06 Georgia game is exactly what we need right now

Ten years ago today, the Kentucky Wildcats upset Georgia in Commonwealth Stadium to snap a nine-game losing streak to the Bulldogs. The win followed a big conference road win, the week before.
Prior to that game, Jacob Tamme stood in front of his team in the locker room and said, “Last week we experienced something on the road that we haven’t experienced since I’ve been here — a happy plane ride home, a big win on the road in the SEC. This week we’re going to experience something that none of us have ever experienced at home — we’ve never experienced a win like this at home, and we’re getting ready to do it.”
Big SEC road win, followed by an upset of Georgia at home the following week? Sounds a little familiar, huh?
Tell ’em, Tamme…
“We are not going to miss out today. We are not going to miss out today. I promise you, we are not going to miss out today.”

No wonder they suck. That’s the worst pump up I’ve ever heard.
Then Why has Tamme won four state titles, two bowls (at Kentucky), and played in two Super Bowls with two different teams? Also, now the falcons are good. Maybe you don’t hear many “pump ups” because something works with him and his guys.
