It’s Kentucky Football Media Day 2015!

Good morning, Big Blue Nation! It’s Media Day 2015!

Get ready for a busy day of football coverage here on as we attack media day with five sets of feet on the ground. Go ahead and grab some breakfast now and come back for a live stream of the morning press conferences around 9:45 am, beginning with Mitch Barnhart. Mark Stoops is scheduled to sit at the podium at 10:00.

Here’s the full schedule:

9:45 a.m.: UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart
10 a.m.: Mark Stoops, Shannon Dawson, DJ Eliot
11 a.m. – Noon: Student-athlete interviews

We will have a full recap of Stoops’ comments as soon as he wraps up, as well as rundowns from Barnhart, Dawson and Eliot. Newsworthy tidbits and photos of your favorite reporters eating free breakfast will go up immediately, so keep checking back early, often and on throughout the day.

Mrs. Tyler has fun stuff planned for Patrick Towles and some of his linemen, while Nick Roush has a set of questions for all of the freshmen. Freddie Maggard is going to talk football and I plan to capture it all via SnapChat, Periscope, Instagram, Tinder and whatever else the kids are using these days. Follow me on any of those at ‘drew_franklin’. I will have some stuff you won’t see anywhere else.

It’s a fun and exciting time for Kentucky football and it all gets going this morning. We’re going to bring you as much as we can today and all through fall camp as we count down the days until kickoff on September 5th.

Go Cats, everybody. I’ve gotta get to Commonwealth.

Dear Mrs Tyler (ladies first) Matt and Drew,
Please bring back the night post and scrap the AM post. The AM post just doesn’t quite carry the same weight (and often isn’t that big post of the day like the night post was) and it was nice to have a summary of all things of the day. Most folks probably looked at the AM post 1st thing in the morning anyway. Just my 2 cents.

    Missing the night post

This will improve once the season gets going. No a lot to say during the summer months.
