High-profile high school athletes having bizarre commitment announcements is nothing new. We’ve seen players commit using live animals, infants, pretending to be a super hero, and flying helicopters, and that’s just in the last decade.
Today’s announcement from Carrollton (Ga.) defensive end Khristian Zachary, though, easily takes the cake for the most bizarre of all time.
Seriously, nothing comes close. Nothing.
The three-star prospect’s “commitment” was announced through a four-minute short film, with Zachary receiving his parent’s blessing in a field of flowers, roaming through the woods, fighting off villains, and being teleported to a decision dungeon of sorts where he chooses…
The most elaborate commitment video ever?
Georgia DE Kristian Zachary released this commitment video today and it's going to have fans and coaches alike guessing his destination.
Committed to the … ? @reverendtriple7

So where is he going to school? No one knows. Well, kind of.
In his own words, if you’re supposed to know, you know. And if you don’t, well, you’re not supposed to know.
Not yet, at least.
“I’ve always been committed to the 7,” Zachary told Rivals.com after the announcement. “It was up to other schools to make themselves the 7; however they were unsuccessful. To those that know me and have learned through all my posts what I’m about; it should be pretty clear where I’ve chosen to continue my career and education.
“For everyone else; it will be revealed post haste….”
Prior to… whatever the hell that was, the 6-foot-3, 238 pound prospect was down to Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
Now, your guess is as good as mine on where he’ll actually play at the next level.
