Amirah Corker was born in the middle of the 2019 football season. Is it a coincidence that Corker’s best play came near the season’s conclusion? I think not.
In his first season as a full-time starter, Corker led the team in tackles with 74, recording a career-high 11 in the monsoon at Georgia. The sophomore picked off his first pass against Vanderbilt and scored a defensive touchdown against UT-Martin. A player that has gone overlooked far too often by fans and SEC football analysts, here’s another reason why he is one of the Wildcats’ most valuable players:
