Injury Report: Kash Daniel has a hand injury

Kentucky almost escaped its ugly game against Vanderbilt without injury.

There is only one injury of note, but it’s to a key player on the team. Mark Stoops said after the game that Kash Daniel suffered a hand injury and it will need an x-ray before we know more.

“We’ll take a look at it, do some x-rays, see what we got to do.,” Stoops said.

Daniel played much of the second half while dealing with the injury. The UK Sports Network broadcast noted he had been playing through severe pain and the hand was heavily taped. But by the end of the game it became too much for Daniel to go on, and he went to the sideline for Vanderbilt’s last drive. True freshman Chris Oats stepped in in his place.

I suppose we’ll have to wait until Monday’s press conference to hear how long it will keep Daniel out going forward, if at all.

I love the enthusiasm but it’s a glaring hole in our game that’s very noticeable to everyone and the fans. A win is a win but that guy isn’t cutting it and it’s a hard pill to swallow that he’s best for the job. We all know something is wrong and he can do better and be put in better spots. I’m on terry’s team but would it hurt to let Gunnar or another qb get some drives! Terry has not excited me but wins from our d, oline, and rb excite me. Imagine if the qb develops confidence and has a playbook to utilize cj, tavin, Dorian, and lynn(some rb please), even bouvier isn’t getting balls. Go cats still can’t believe we can even complain about a win but you must progress!!this is uncharted waters and what’s funny is we are better than this. Sec east champs?????? Get better Kash you the man!!!

Great performance by the D – best unit since Fran Curci’s team in ‘77. And the O-line and Benny are special but it’s just getting more obvious Terry can’t do it. He can’t pass. One hand tackles bring him down. He steps out or slides early. He holds the ball w one hand while running and is TO risk every run. 21 points on offense in the last 10 quarters. That’s 8 points per game. MUST fix the stuff that’s broken, that’s what good teams do and our offense is broken.

And the TD looked to me like he didn’t make the read, the coaching staff made the read once they saw the coverage. He made the throw, and Bowden ran a good route and nice footwork but 18 yards… wow. Not going to do it at Missouri. Terrible pass defense so a good opportunity for a new QB.

dont like two qb system but may be necessary. clearly define the roles and it can work. when we need to mix it up go gunner when we just gonna grind it on ground go to wilson. exactly what bama is doing except tua is out of this world.
