If Chester’s call won’t get you back on board the UK Football train, nothing will

Like all of you, I have been down on the Kentucky football team since its despicable loss to Shannon Dawson and Southern Miss in the home opener. But there’s one man out there who sees a lot of football left to be played, and he called in to KSR to remind everyone that there are still 11 games left on the schedule.

Take it away, Chester:

Okay, he convinced me to get excited again. Let’s go down there and beat Florida.

Thanks, Chester!

    Chester is a moron

Chester, simply from a psychological viewpoint, will you be OK if UK only has 1 or 2 wins at the end of this season? It’s wonderful that you can be so optimistic about our football team, but can you also deal with the reality? It’s always OK to seek professional help in a time of need.

Will everyone stop being so dang negative. Like he said we got at least 11 more games. There is a reason we play the dang game, If we already knew the outcome why would we play the game? Obviously you fans still care about the program because you keep reading and commenting on the post. If y’all are so dang smart and know the outcome of every game, then why aren’t y’all in Vegas making millions?

Florida is not even ranked, why couldn’t we win? We have skill players at most positions. If the ball bounces in our favor a few times, for sure we can win this game.

Stoops is 12-25. He is the one making millions. He does not have to go to Vegas, he gets to do it, right here. He has lost, twice as much as he has won, thus far. He has had 4 years of his players. This is his system and his coaches. The program is no closer to being competitive in the SEC now, than when Joker was here. That little nugget, you can take to Vegas. While there, check out the Cirque de Soliel.
    Bon Voyage.

Chester is the worst KSR caller ever. Like fingernails on a chalkboard. Delusional and wrong 95% of the time. Anyone remember his predictions last year during the football season? How did that work out?

    Chester for President!

    Yeah, I said it.

Yeah, I was at CWS Saturday Night, I saw what happened. I felt the air get sucked out of the stadium.

Yeah, I wondered why we even bothered to be there, let alone have season tickets to more misery.

    Yeah. It was awful.

Yeah, I am deflated. Same as anyone who gives a dang about winning football games would be.

But Chester is right. It is the doom & gloom crowd that has hampered UK football more than any player or coach could.
Is Stoops working out good? On the scorecard, nope.
Is he going to be fired? Probably Not until at least after next season, no matter what.

Is there a reason to get down on the whole program, just based on Saturday?

Chester is the only one with any sense here. Most UK fans were predicting wed lose to USM. Those same people are now being as ridiculous as they are every year. if they don’t have something to complain about, they aren’t breathing. Kudzu can’t even count, but that only serves to illustrate the point. Ukprof… will you be ok if they win 4, 5, 6 or 7 games this year, and will you come back and admit how much of a wad you are if they go to a bowl? Look up the word rhetorical before you answer

Cant count what? Wins or losses? By all means, please set me straight, I have no problem being corrected. I will certainly wait for your bonafide input. Thank you in advance for the help.

“He has had 4 years of his players.” Stoops first class didn’t come in until fall of 2013, the same fall that all of his “support” withered like pansies in the late summer heat, when they didn’t win right away. I suppose you could recount it for us, but I’ll save you the trouble. It’s 3 years so far. This is the beginning of the 4th year.

      You’re welcome.

“The program is no closer to being competitive in the SEC now, than when Joker was here.” Wtf have you been doing while people were playing football besides drinking? Joker started his first year with a seasoned team that had been to 4 straight bowls, and that was the best it got. Still had a cupboard the next year but went 5-7, getting gobsmacked by Vandy, UF, LSU and South Carolina, and barely beating WKU. The next year they got ore of the same, getting trounced by everybody except Georgia and WKU (which was still a loss, btw) for a 2-10 record. If you call being 21 points in 3 games away from being 8-5, and taking FLORIDA to the mat for two straight years, “no closer to being competitive in the SEC,” you might want to stfu about football.

      You’re welcome.

21 points for 2 straight years away from being 8-5 in the regular season, with 4 SEC wins one year and 5 the next. When has that EVER been the case for UK football without facing probation?

Jimbo Fisher at one of college football’s powerhouse schools in a state loaded with talent EVERY year still took 4 years to get them back to where they were before. Stoops has been at UK for 3 years and it is well past where it was when he took over. Coach Brooks started out 4-8, 2-9, and 3-8 before getting UK to a bowl game at 7-5 his 4th year. He was nowhere close to 5-7 in his 2nd and 3rd year, and he started with arguably more veteran talent than Stoops. He DID have the same LACK of SUPPORT from the first season, however. I know there are 15,000 great UK football fans that have been and will stay supportive of this staff and team from start to finish. The rest that have made it even harder to recruit and play for this team, including those in the media, are just miserable people at heart that don’t understand the game of football.
