“Not well” would be a two-word description to describe how Kentucky has played against Missouri since the Tigers joined the SEC East four years ago, but things are trending in the right direction.
Kentucky’s only win in Columbia came in 1965. Since the series was revived, UK has been outscored on the road 53-20, losing their first three matchups with the Tigers. What might be even worse: the Cats are 3-28 on third downs in Columbia.
Last year the Cats changed the game, defeating Maty Mauk and the 25th-ranked Tigers 21-13 for the Cats’ first win over a Top 25 team since 2010. That loss sent the Tigers on a downward spiral, finishing 5-7 after consecutive SEC East Championships. Relive last year’s magic moment with this feature from KY Wildcats TV.
If 15 minutes is too long to float your boat, this highlight package will do.
Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more UK highlights before the day is finished. A win would give UK a 4-3 advantage over Mizzou in the series history.
